  1. I did my valve stem seals using the rope trick, over a period of two or three evenings. There's plenty of good guides about now (especially TLicense's on here) if you feel fairly confident with the spanners
  2. lol! Don't know why anyone would need a menu for takeaways - the missus and me had Dominos delivered to the gate on Friday night and Chinese delivered on Saturday!
  3. Not as far as I know/have googled, 'cos 'cast with holes' is bloody expensive!
  4. Can I join the queue as well please?
  5. If your valve seals are dead (and it sounds like they are), couldn't it possibly be the seals letting a few drops of oil through whilst the engines idling? Wouldn't that give the blue smoke? It just seems odd to me that it might be the turbo seals when not boosting or under load.
  6. Cheers guys, I managed it at the last minute on Friday before JAE! I found that using a workbench, a length of timber clamped over it, and a hammer did the trick perfectly Then just secured it with a couple of zip ties and plenty of hot-glue Looks lovely (well, imo!) - many thanks Paul

  8. I was there but parked up over on the celica-club stand with my brother-in-law's Starlet as well! I meant to wander over and say 'hi' but chickened out, feeling too shy/embarassed! Wonderful stand though, really very impressive!
  9. Screwfix, or there's a guy on ebay that sells cheap polishing kits (a search should come up with something). Or even a local B&Q or somesuch may supply the bits you need.
  10. Engineer - to build things Doctors - to keep everyone alive Binmen - else we'd all be knee deep in crap in a month's time!
  11. Got my bumper (Stillen) back from the bodyshop and wanted to get it meshed as well; the guy at the bodyshop scratched his head and said he couldn't use the mesh because it doesn't bend easily (apparently I want the Ripspeed mesh ). Obviously it can be done so I'd like to have a go myself - has anyone on here done theirs themselves? Any help much appreciated, I'd like to get it fitted tonight if poss
  12. Only if the car is left on the road, iirc. If it's left in your own driveway/garage then it's fine.
  13. :edit; Sorry, that'll teach me to only read the first page . . .

    Powerflow Exhausts

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Powerflow piping isn't mandrel bent either, meaning that each bend is slightly restrictive.
  15. Well, they're different . . . Though personally, they just remind me of the plastic wheels you used to get on all the "Hot Wheels" toy cars!
  16. Just a thought, but Rob at Likwid Art can also do custom graphics. Not cheap, but would look the dog's danglies imho!

  18. My brother in law used to do Downhill for the Ireland team but had to give it up due to costs. He now sells bikes; if you like I'm sure he could save you a few pennies!
  19. Rich, I'm going to JAE mate so I can pick them up for you if you like?
  20. I've used Mook a few times before, including custom dials for my celica and my soop. Can't fault the guy, and his workmanship is excellent
  21. I thought I'd stumbled into Pedant's Corner by mistake
  22. And all's well that ends well. The club is safe, and most people will have forgotten this little episode when the trader renewal comes around.
  23. Just like me - I like to think of it as an inverted six-pack
