    brake problem

    Could be a sticking caliper?
  2. Cheers We're actually looking at around the Auckland area - we're both in construction and it seems that's where the most jobs are at the moment.
  3. Sorry for the thread hijack, but how are the roads in New Zealand for SUpras? The wife and I are looking at emigrating next year and ideally I'd like to import the soop across
  4. Looking good mate, quite like the dash too I wish somebody did something for the climate control buttons though
  5. I joined Weightwatchers 12 weeks ago, lost 22 pounds so far. COuld have lost more, but I haven't completely cut out take-aways and beer

    hi guys

Welcome to the club Your user name may be a bit odd when you finally get a Supra though
  7. Wipe over with a soft rag and white spirits, then give a rub down with Farecla scratch remover or similar, then re-apply your polish and wax
  8. Have you tried http://www.parcel2go.com ? They use major shippers such as DHL but with a massive discount - in the UK it's anything under 25kg for about £12
  9. And if D3xt3r doesn't want it, can I be next in line?
  10. I've got a standard spoiler in silver taking up garage space - a bit scratched but most of them should polish out.
  11. Cheers guys, think I'll try the subtle approach first then. Failing that, a 100psi jet wash while he's sat at his desk

    Insurance

Be more interested in the level of cover, i.e. like-for-like insurance for all mods?
  13. . . . question somebody else's? I have a new guy sits near me, fairly high-up job, well-to-do, married with kids, etc. and to put it mildly, he stinks. I thought maybe he was staying in digs without a shower and bereft of deodorant. 3 days on and that can't be the case. Suffice to say, I find it much more pleasant to sit with the window open. I must, however, point out that I am currently working on a construction contract for Leicester's main sewage treatment works. Yes, it's that bad. So a question to you learned people - would it be rude to break it to someone that they give off an undesirable odour? How would you go about informing them, bearing that office relations have to stay at a bearable level?
  14. Weightwatchers Sausages in Cider Gravy with vegetable mash. Healthy(ish), but not exactly filling. 6/10
  15. I had this with Direct Line - they only mention in the smallprint that they will renew until you say otherwise. I just phoned them up and told them I hadn't realised and didn't want to stay with them and they refunded in full.
  16. When I first got my car I was like "driving Miss Daisy" - and managed just over 26mpg average. Sadly, now I'm used to the car, it's nothing like that anymore But cruising on the motorway I can still get around 24mpg. btw, Chris Wilson also sells O2 sensors but they aren't the Toyota ones and as such need to be spliced / soldered onto the existing wiring. No problems at all with mine, and it's very easy to do

Welcome to the club mate and happy trawling There's also quite a few handy tech bits over on http://www.mkiv.com , especially guides for installing FCD's and such.
  18. I've been forced to use 95RON in my stock TT several times. I've always driven it fairly gently until I can fill up with Optimax / Ultimate / etc. but I've never had a single problem. Wouldn't the lower octane simply mean a stronger chance of detonation when the engine is being thrashed?
  19. I believe so, yes. Editted to say: I don't know whether the 135 degree pipe will even fit, but it's a possibility
  20. http://www.viper-performance.co.uk/products.php?%20cat=59
  21. http://www.viper-performance.co.uk do 135 degree 152mm leg aluminium pipes in 4" for £23 if that's any help
  22. I went through a period of depression a few years ago after a bad car accident left me with a f***ed up right knee; like you I thought I could make myself happier by spending money. I got a 0%-offer credit card, then maxxed that out as well. I was sold a £25k loan to consolidate my debts which I'm still trapped in until the end of the 8 years. After I had consolidated my loans, I maxxed my cards out again, resulting in an overall debt of £40k. I had to give up a £25k a year job to go self employed, as I was only just clearing enough money a month to pay the outgoings. And then you end up full-circle, depressed again 'cos of debts and no money. I know it's hard mate, but only YOU can get yourself out of it. Try the Citizen's Advice Bureau - they're free and generally give very good, helpful advice. Whatever you do, do NOT get a card to pay off a card - if you do, transfer the balance then SHRED THEM BOTH. Delete your credit card details from Paypal. DO NOT get a loan to pay a loan - people don't sell you loans to help you, they do it because you're vulnerable and they see a chance to make money out of you. DO cut your living costs - if you are so desperate to keep the Supra, sell the bike and get a £250 shitbox with a tiny engine - use that as a daily driver; this will reduce not only your fuel bills, but also your maintenance bills etc. for the soop. That leaves you with the soop as your weekends/evenings toy I hope you learn from this experience mate, whatever you do PLEASE don't bury your head in the sand. If you keep the soop, the modifying days are over until your debts are reduced. Trust me, when the debts have gone, it will be a like a whole new life - well, as long as you stay sensible and avoid credit cards and loans again! Good luck.
  23. If they're J-spec brakes, for that money you could get a set of fast road pads from Chris Wilson and a pair of grooved 3G discs from ebay
