I think they will still do you for not having a licence. They have to report all sales of TVs to the licencing authority. That's why you have to give name and address details. My daughter never watches TV so she rang them to find out if she still had to pay. They asked: "Do you have broadband?" - No. "Do you have a mobile phone capable of streaming video?" - No. "Do you have Sky or other reciever?" - No. "Fine, all you have to do is not have an aerial cable connected to the TV or video recorder and you don't have to pay." She hasn't paid for 4 years now.

Was inviteded round to my brothers place this afternoon for a surprise family get-together at which our mother gave his and my early birthday presents. Next weekend we're both at Silverstone to watch the British F1 Grand Prix!!! Plus Friday and Saturday nights in a hotel and return coach to the track for Sat qualy and Sun race day, with spending money. We're roving so does anyone know the best place to base ourselves? Needs a good view of the track and a nearby big screen. First time at F1 since watching Jim Clark win in '66 so any tips are most welcome.

I thought you said you were "pretty clued up when it comes to pc's" ? As Creative said - use something like Partition Magic to split the drive and your data will be fine.

This World Cup is turning into a replay of WW2. The French leave early, the Yanks come through at the last possible moment and we're left to fight the fu****g Germans. Now the Italians have done the WW2 thing and retired early as well. Could be a good omen though - we may beat the Germans.
