Hey folks. First off, I’m not selling the car... yet! If I had my way I would keep it forever. This is just an exercise. :taped:

What I am after from you kind people is general honest opinions on what the car is worth. Now I know it’s only worth what someone will pay and not at all what it should be worth but I’m just after some views on its sale value.

Please bear in mind the car has quite a few bespoke, desirable and discontinued parts.

The car has been reading it's mileage in Km's up until I had SRD convert it last year. It was converted at 72'000 Km (45'000 Miles) and now reads 73'439 so it's only covered 1500 miles since being converted. The car also has some Japanese paperwork history if you can read Japanese. :)

Now, in the cars current condition it could do with a little paint work to make it perfect, this includes a small ding and scratch on the bonnet, rear quarter panels marked from spat removal and the spoiler needs a repaint due to a couple of marks. With me being a bit of a perfectionist, there is a couple of other little marks but nothing major. This is all next on my list to do when funds allow.

Other than the above, the car is in superb condition and very well looked after.

Most of you know the car but for those that don't, its history has been fully documented since it came over from Japan here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthr...e-Wangan-Supra

Here is a few current pics but there are loads of pics in my thread linked above and in my garage.

As much as I hate to say it, you wouldn't get what it's worth. If this was to go, I fear it would have to join the Black Beast :(

History has shown that unless you find the right buyer and quickly, breaking is the only option if you want your money back. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of some of the cars that have been broken. I would say about £20K but that is probably an insult to the quality of the car IMO.

I would say £22k to sell it, £25k asking price... Lots of people will comment and say they would pay £xxx amount all day long, but they dont have that amount of disposable money to buy a car, and I bet they wouldn't buy it if they were actually in a position to afford it. As said in previous threads there must be a handfull of people in the country with £25k+ that are actually looking for a top end Supra, most will be attracted by other marques.

Thanks for your opinions and kind comments about the car guys.

I hear what your saying about breaking but I don't know if I could bring myself to do it, It's also a lot of hassle. The parts section has been flooded with cars breaking in previous months and even some parts are struggling to sell.

I was also of the opinion of £25k-£30k but would be prepared to wait for a sale. Less for a quicker sale. Nobody ever expects to get their money back when modifying cars and I certainly wont, I've spent a bloody fortune on this car. :)

I hope you don't sell as once the paint is done it will be perfect, it has a mental amount of power but because of it being delivered progressively makes it a much better/usable drive, I think you sold it to me when we were talking at Abbey as it goes so well and is setup just right lol!

Its a great car with a fortune spent in getting it to what is a very desirable and to some degree a "vanilla" stock looking car, by that I mean no lairy kit, crazy undrivable clutch etc, its a proper Supra

I would have thought it would be worth 25K as a start price and get it advertised in Eurpoe as well
