Got the Engine all strapped up and dropped the new Flexplate on, Then the Gearbox... ... and finally popped it back where it belongs Aside from being super cold, its all back in, so cold in fact, the Bonnet had frozen to the Grass lol Plumbing and Wiring left to connect now, then I can get my HKS Exhaust on Edited December 8, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Braving the Cold again but I can't wait any longer to get my HKS Exhaust on. Richie_k83 Posted December 31, 2014 Author Share Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) Made a bit more progress today and fitted the Transmission Oil Cooler behind the Drivers side Bumper opening. Cant see it too well through the opening but its there... Also got a bit more of her back together, only the Battery, Fan and Belt to drop back on now, plus a few wires. Few little problems, found quite a lot of Oil leaking out of the front end. Shite.... Decided to sulk for a while, have a brew and pull the front end apart to investigate. The culprit? Front Crank Seal. Somehow I kinked it, no idea how i missed it, Changed the Seal, dropped it back together and checked, all went well. She now holds all of her fluids, no leaks whatsoever Onto the next issue now. The idle is crap, fluctuating up and down, occasionally drops low enough to stall... Not sure yet, but either way I will be looking at a new Engine build, atleast whilst I use her as my daily. So far he has done the initial layout on A3 and will be finished soon. He sent me a teaser: Cant wait to see the final result, his work is spot on! Bit the bullet and paid out for some decent Plugs and other Ignition related parts.
