Yeah no worries give me a shout if you need it Think I need to concentrate on getting it running right first though lol. Tried the IAC, didnt change anything. Seems to be a miss-fire maybe, exhaust smells pretty rich too... Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)
Richie_k83
Today's weather has been great, took full advantage and made a start on fitting my EDFC system, Got the fronts on Rears, I had to trim the plastic panel back, Next I had to trim the dash pocket and drill some vent holes to fit the unit Then route the wiring And thats it, all powered up and working spot on Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)
Richie_k83
Had a call yesterday from a good friend & fellow Supra owner. He had a shunt with a Fire Engine and the car is ruined. Genuinely gutted for him and will hopefully be back behind the wheel of another very soon. On another note, he let me buy/exchange his leather seats and ECU before the car is taken away. They have been greatly received and look right at home. Much more supportive than the previous cloth seats Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)

Richie_k83
Finally...!! I have got to the root of this damn idle problem. After swapping/checking almost everything I could possibly think of (with the help of my friends smashed Supra) Swapped IAC Valve Swapped Oxygen Sensors Swapped IAT Sensor Swapped PCV valves Swapped TPS Sensor complete with inlet plenum Swapped ECU Replaced Spark Plugs with new ones Did Compression Test Checked Timing Belt Position Replaced Dizzy Cap/Rotor Arm Replaced Vacuum Hoses I was stuck for ideas... It was only until I was looking into changing the HT leads, I stumbled upon a Soarer Forum in Australia. This guy was having the exact same problem on his Soarer After a good read of his thread, he had gone through everything I had. It later turned out the Hall Sensor in his Distributor was failing and worked perfectly after replacing it. So, another trip to my mates Supra, before it was scrapped, I swapped the Distrubutors over, got my engine warm, grabbed the Timing Light, set it at 10 degrees BTDC The end result, a steady, smooth, happy idle. Such a relief! https://vimeo.com/125724407 Result! A heap load better than it was in the last video Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)

Richie_k83
Well the car is still running perfectly, just in time for the sunshine. Summer is going to be good [emoji4] Had to pop the Wing back on as the grommets I used to plug the holes were leaking when it rained Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)

Richie_k83
Headed of to Curborough Sprint Circuit yesterday with Trackdaydrivers.com Was a good turnout, the start line was busy all day with a mixed bag of cars as usual I have a few more pics to come once they've been edited. I thinks some sticky tires and a diff will make a huge difference in getting round quicker. Richie_k83
Had a think, going to try my hand at Sprinting in the Supra. My original plan was to use my daily car (Corsa C) however, I just cant see it being that competitive. So now I will be stripping the interior, fitting a Cage, Harness and a lightweight bucket seat. Speaking of which, I brought this home today... Its a Bride Vios III with an FRP Shell, fully FIA approved and a special edition Bride/Cusco collaboration model. Weighs in at 7.1kg without the Rail Just waiting for Rails to land and a Harness Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)
Richie_k83
Decided to go all out and put her on a diet. Interior stripping, and sound deadening removal is on the list. Got the rear done for the moment. Was pretty surprised at the weight that came out, Front is next, then a clean and wire tidy to do ready for the seat and half cage Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)
Richie_k83
Harness came today, had to see how its gonna look, Also found a small pile of stickers so threw them on the back, got a few more about somewhere lol Also ordered my Cusco 5 Point, Safety 21 Roll Cage today, will see that land in a couple of months time Edited December 9, 2015 by Richie_k83 (see edit history)
Richie_k83
Made another purchase since the interior is being stripped, Alloy passenger foot rest Don't think the plastic panel that protects the ECU will be enough without the thick layer of carpet on it. Richie_k83
Managed to squeeze half an hour of work in today, more stripping and offered the footrest up for fitment, Made a start at sound deadening removal too... It came up quite well, only passenger side and the rear to chip away at now, then to wipe down the excess, paint the floor, tidy up the wires and fit passenger foot rest....
