go buy an expensive car, wrap it, remap it. = winner?? Mmmmmmm!

950+ Supra, built from the Ground up over 4 years, hundreds of hours of Labour and sweat. And all built for less than Half that Audi was new.

Someone must get the balls kicked for not picking that over the Audi.

Hodges car must have been the most photographed car there.

Spot on mate.

Had a great day guys, really good to see a nice gathering of the Supra community and I must agree that the judges decision was straight up rediculous.

Top effort from the NE Boys for making the event, and it was good getting a good chat with you all, Bossco and his cleaning supplies saved the day with my 11th hour polish offensive.

A Big thanks must be said tO Westy for making this all happen, it really was a very well planned operation, and the club flags looked awesome, cheers buddy :).

Also thanks to all for moving the meet up time to 7.30am for me and Ryan :D:d:d

Thought I'd sign up to post about my car (the r8)

The car is far from standard and work on that car I've done myself with mates (STaSIS live mapped it)

Yea it's wrapped and to be honest that won't be staying on and was only done for a trip I did around Europe to raise money for the local kids hospital and to protect the paint.

As for what's been done to the car I thought I share because it seems your upset :/

The car has spent the best part of the last 6 months all over the UK with various people helping work on the car as the V10 isn't the best to tune.

The car had every inch of its life stripped form it and the head work alone was enough to give me many sleepless nights and was a massive trial and error, once the engine was done the car spent time with Milltek who designed a super cup lightweight exhaust for the car with all cats etc removed.

Then the guys as STaSIS live mapped the car.

The aim for the car was to make it as quick as I could and handle properly as out of the box they actually aren't that great, the car now has full adjustable LMS touring car Spec suspension and so on.

Every single weekend for the last 6 months has been spent working on the car and there is things like the standard wheels being sent away to be diamond cut polished etc.

Silly things like the lights taken and smoked etc were all done.

Apart from the wrap I've tried to make it suttle and the next step is back to its standard blue and either a supercharger or twin turbo (ill fit it myself)

I'm a huge believer of built not bought and anyone that know me can back that up.

I didn't post this for an internet war more just to say what has been done to the car and more importantly done by me and my mates.

Pretty pish I've had to justify myself and plenty people came in about and has ace banter and was shown what was done.

This week on about to change the clutch as its now thrown its hand it and that will be done in my wooden shed and not a Audi garage in sight.

Some stunning cars there yesterday.

Bradley, it is very amicable of you to sign up and explain the work done to your car, but since you are on the forum, search for "the kracken" build thread and read it from start to finish, then come back here and in all honesty try and justify your car winning best in show.

You have put in some amount if work to the R8, no question about that, it has a few great mods that you have told us about, but that is childsplay compared to the work hodge has done to his. Fact.

Ross I agree with you and actually drooled over the white Supra, over the years I have owned multiple supras and I know what goes into them.

I didn't ask to win nor did I even know until they shouted it out.

Everyone I guess has their idea of what they like and I've been showing cars for 15+ years so I know there is always favourite cars amongst people.

This is my first year I've ever shown the R8 and normally I'd show something a bit more extreme that I've built.

Ive just spent 2 years solid building a 600BHP 1974 BMW 2002 turbo from a rotten £500 shell (also an auto) so I understand what's involved.

I signed up just to share what id done to the R8 as its fat from a standard car and more important to me not some posh fucker, I'm about as common and tight as aberdonians get ;)

A great show and I met some great people.

Of course you had no say in whether you won or not, but I am just trying to show you why we are all so displeased at Hodge not winning anything at all. We have no personal "grudge" with you whatsoever, just venting our anger at the stupidity and narrow mindedness of the show judges.

A 650bhp soarer winning beat performance car.

A turbo'd NSX thank was all dusty and messy inside winning the show and shine.

Hodges 950bhp masterpiece that had more attention than any other car that I saw won nothing. Its just unbelievable

I actually said to wife that the NSX looked like it need a good clean and I was convinced the Supra would have took that trophy as it was gleaming or the car of show.

I'm not biased even though its my R8, I would without a doubt have made sure the Supra won something but it also seemed there was no where near enough trophies for the amount of cars and type of cars.

Well I made my rare outing but was very disappointed in the show to be honest, glad I managed to get free parking and never paid full price for the tickets either! Well done to you lot who travelled so far for it, glad the weather was good atleast.

The show itself, well, probably 70% of the cars there were - ermm pretty sh1t. Some (few and far) very nice metal there too mind you and defo Hodges car should have won something, I spent about 30 minutes looking over it as its probably my #1 Supra while most folk ran for the supercar show area, absolutely stunning car Hodge and worth the ticket price on its own.

I was going to come say 'Hi' to the Supra contingent but think most had wandered off, nice area yous had, I think I saluted Westy or thumbs up or something but other than that, watched Geo trying to fold his arms for a minute or two and bumped into Liam trying to keep control of his wee yin I had a quiet, covert show... Sorry I didnt come over, it did give me a hankering for another Sup' mind you!!!

I was disappointed with the wizzard they had up on stage. He just kept on putting the girl in different boxes and getting her back out again. Nowhere near as good as Harry Potter, and he's only 12.

I felt sorry for all the top 50 people stood at the front when that hideous dance act came on stage toward the end of the day. The poor girl couldn't even mime properly.

Welcome Bradley. Don't suppose you have a link to your BMW project build?

Am I correct in thinking you have a 1M as well? They are lovely cars.

I've very recently sold the 2002 (to fund the R8 build)

Ill dig out the project thread on it as I'm using my mobile just now.

I still have the 1M which is the wife's daily car and is screaming to be tweaked.

This is how it started and how looked prior to going to its new owner ( still unfinished and with a lesser spec engine)

I'll be back for sure. Im not bothered if it's a good show or not so long as there are plenty people to talk to and it's a good laugh.

For the amount of members we have in Scotland and the north be a shame if we couldn't manage a 30 car stand.

Cant believe I was at the show for so long, spoke to you a million times and still only managed to see your engine bay once the show was closing :D, just as well too, might have been blinded by the bling!

I had a great time. Would have been better if I DIDN'T enter the top 50 and just left my car on the stand with everyone else. Even though most came up to support me, I'd have preferred to be down with everyone else.

The drive home though was EPICNESS.
