Great result Steve, i will be supprised if its the intake causing it drop off at 7000rpm, my money is the turbo is maxed out, iirc its 67mm?

Well it is according to Full Race but after looking at the 91-79 which is supposed to be a 67mm I am thinking this 91-83 is more like a 71mm.

Congrats Steve, happy for you mate

Has the suspension rebuild solved the wheel hop issues you were having?

Actually I haven't tried that, I will give it a go over the weekend.

Took the car out tonight for a drive and can confirm after a number of tries :innocent: the wheel hop has totally gone :)

  • 4 weeks later...

I have been chatting with Geoff @ Full Race to get some more information on this turbo.

It is a Borg Warner S400SX turbo with a 67mm compressor wheel with a 83mm turbine wheel and a 1.10a/r exhaust housing. This is the non billet version but was the prototype for the new Billet version that has now been released - http://www.full-race.com/store/turbos/borgwarner-airwerks/borgwarner-s400sx3-turbo.html

So there is a good chance that I have maxxed the turbo out hense the drop off at high RPM's.

:)

Alritey, look forward to it

I will add the videos to this thread when they are done :)

**UPDATE**

Also to add, following Santa Pod after the clutch decided to not let me engage any gears, I have now replaced the clutch master cylinder seals and re-bled the system with some higher temperature fluid. The clutch seems to be working ok again now, I guess with the heat and the drag launches the Southbend and the fluid didn't like it one bit! Hopefully this will last me for a little longer whilst I save up for a new Twin/Triple unit later in the year :)
