just dont do the dyno run till you are 100% your car wont explode supraspeed :p Because given your history it may well do :p

what? and miss the unexpected? full throttle away!!! Lol:d

i hoping to take it to whifbitz for the conversion after i come back from holiday so they will try and sort out the problems before getting it dyno'd

PHEW........ i havn`t got to sell my car now, thats good for 1.1 bar but i still doubt it will hit 500 even at 1.5 bar, dont forget, extra turbo speed= extra heat and lost power, also if you have a fuel pressure gauge you would see if its your pump that can`t keep up, i`d keep the boost turned down till its sorted.

Without wanting to stir up a whole bucket of shit :innocent:

My car made exactly 320RWHP at Surrey Rolling Road which I think most people will agree is as genuine a rolling road as is possible to get. They equated this to 396.8 flywheel BHP so I would agree that the Intepro correction figures are a little optimistic. I'd say you've got 395-400 there which is good power for that boost.

However it is exactly the same as my UK got with just decats and an exhaust at 1bar!

Well unless the pump is U/S and it genuinely is a bosch fuel pump then surely the problem lies with either the map itself set wrong, the fuel pressure, or the injectors being pretty damn crappy?? How could a car run lean with the spec of injectors and fuel pump unless the map or fuel pressure was pap?

Thats about the size of it DB :) Lets hope Martin doesn't lose heart and returns here, from past conversations he seems like a friendly & decent fella, but (like so many here) mislead by tuners promises.

So you don't know what it's like driving and racing a 500+bhp car on the road, some apologies and humble pie eaten after not listening to experienced supra owners on here I think.

Your tuner has had your leg up and you took it in and extended the bravado to road racing, may be now you will listen to what others tell you and use a track to test and prove your car :-)

1. Ditch the tuner. They obviously don't have the first clue about modifying Supras, tuning them or mapping in general. Any further time or money spent with them would be foolish.

2. £5k is a rediculous amount to have spent for the power achieved. 320rwhp equates to roughly 370bhp at the fly in my book. 390bhp at the fly could have been achieved with £1k's worth of BPU mods which this forum can teach you about.

3. Modifying the stock turbos is largely a hiding to nothing. If you want genuinely more than 450bhp fly, you're going to need an adequately sized aftermarket single. But that's a whole other debate. The drag times thread makes for interesting reading though ;)

4. A Bosch 044 is a fuel pump more than man enough for the job (assuming your 'tuner' actually fitted you one and didn't just take your money). Ignore Interpro on that one - they just play with those crappy scoobies all day :D, at a hunch bad mapping is the reason your power curve was tailing off at 5k odd RPM. You should have an AFR graph, what was the AFR (Air to Fuel Ratio, expressed as so many parts air to so many parts fuel for example 10:1) at that same RPM? You also need at least uprated injectors to flow such power as originally mooted, suggest 800cc+, and uprated fuel lines and a twin feed with centre return rail would help.

5. Congrats for sticking with us on here - we're not a bad bunch really and just want to see bullshit banished from the Supra world.... like the kind your 'tuner' has been spouting. Thanks for coming back on and sharing the outcome - that took guts and I can respect that, just please please take advice from us lot in future rather than assuming your tuner's word is gospel. If you need an experienced Supra garage, check out the ones local to you on here that get consistent good recommendations (find one you like, then use the search button to vet them)... you WILL need a decent mapper and for that I'd suggest RyanG on here. Although there will no doubt be conditions on the health of your car before safe mapping can take place!

Cheers,

Brian.

:yeahthat:

Don't think there is a need for a second fuel pump at all, as a lot of people have said they are getting similar if not more figures using a single pump!

i love the way most members have slated this poor guy for simply trusting a tuner, yes he made claims of 650hp on the back of his tuners advice but the s**t he has taken is unbelievable i feel sorry for him having wasted his money as we to have done things that have cost us dear and stopped us from having a tt swap,i hope he keeps the car and comes back hopefully he will recieve plenty of help from the more knowledgable members here as i hope we will when finally we go tt :D

In all fairness though he deserved slating. Yes he had his head filled with sh1t from the tuner, but he came on here & tried to defend it.

If that had been me, & I had come on a forum where loads of people were saying "there's no way that's possible" I'd say, "mmmm I wonder if all these people could be right & I am wrong", not "you're all wrong & I am right & I'll put my car on a dyno to prove it".

Yes he has done well to come back & admit he was wrong, but he DID deserve most of the flak he took on here.

Case in point - in one of several outbusts aimed at RobSheffield:

So answer this then....Why can i find this mod to these turbos in more than one place and all of them state it is capable of 600 BHP ???????????? maybe all these turbo engineers are wrong and you are right ??.... silly me

...I do think you should be ready to say sorry to people like Rob, he knows his beans...

Rob will have my first apoligy then.. But if im right ????

I think I missed the apology. :search:

That's a fair point in all honesty mate. I don't think he's a good listener and I for one could not join a new specialist forum as a newbie and then tell the whole mob they were wrong.:Pling:
