To be honest i don't know what i'm doing car wise, i was looking at Q7's & RR sports and sell my Landcruiser as well as the supra. I'd love something silly for a while but my old sensible head is winning all the battles at the moment

That's very tempting Paul I know but its time to move on and doubt my Gallardo will blend in that much I'll still be on here to help, annoy, take the pee etc etc I've done it before too also with a Black UK spec When do want these wheels ? my mother wants her garage back

Uprated ? How is it better, do you have some info on this as i'm always up for using the best parts i can.

After doing nearly 200,000 miles in mkiv's at full bpu the o/e filter has performed just fine and i see no point in using anything else, present car has 136,000 on the clock and the engine is in superb condition internally

Not sure that's a good idea Peter, i'd only be nicked for speeding if i had it out that long, a quick run out on monday just to check every things okay and working as it should will suffice

Not wishing to tempt fate but it's looking like my car is soon to leave the UK and move to France. I have exchanged several emails with the buyer and he was on the phone yesterday and is arranging to be here next week and is flying in to B'ham airport. 12 years of great fun are about to come to an end !! I can't quite decide if i should take it out one last time or is that just asking for trouble ? Its sat in the garage at the minute, tyre pressures done, oil and coolant checked and is being valeted on monday.

Do you have a cad you can draw it on to see what size diameter gives you what size rad is left between the faces, i only have paint on my pc so no use what so ever for this kind of thing.

My last price inc vat was just over £500 for the pair, just over £300 for uk spec glass

Lots of blingy aluminium jobs on the market that are all supposedly better than the O/E rad which i doubt. Some are way better than others, some don't fit from what i read on here Not sure i'd risk one from ebay unless others have and its been okay, i'd buy from a trader personally if you go the custom route then i think you should be a lot safer if its not as it should be Also check what bar the rad cap comes with unless you can fit o/e to it I fitted O/E

Okay then when your turning them turn down the diameter around the hex so it leaves a small radius at the corners when you machine the flats on

Personally if a rads over 10 years old unless its silly cheap i can't see the point in fitting one, some will obviously last longer just depends on price. Id rather fit new and be done with it

Damper, spring, arb drop links, ball joints, bushes is where i'd be looking and check the subframe bolts while your at it with a torque wrench preferably -

You don't have to remove it to check for play -
When you machine the hex on couldn't you pop a 1mm break corner chamfer where the faces meet each other ? You could get them anodised

If your making them for Adrian Newey then yes i'd guess saving another gram or two would matter

Mine fills with water most are from China and aren't that great in my opinion Carbon ones are just fibreglass with c/f laid on the top -
Having seen the underneath of a lot of supras both uk cars and imports i would not buy one now unless i could have it on a ramp and do a thorough inspection. I'd be asking about whats been replaced or refurbed and if its all still original as it came from Toyota then you will at some point in the near future be refurbing or buying new brakes, suspension arms, etc etc
