    Oil filter good?

O/E Toyota seem to work just fine so why go else where ? My cars on 136k and thats all i've used so proof they do the job
  2. Both mine are original and done 136k with no leaks but i guess if the engines out then it makes sense to change them

    XL Garage

They are enquiring about buying my supra. i have another email late last night from the guy who it looks like XL are acting as an agent for.
  4. I wouldn't put a pressure washer through the matrix. Even cheap p/w's kick out 100 bar so you'll just blow a matrix to pieces. Take the matrix hoses off and just put a garden hose on them and see if anything comes out.
  5. Try going round the outer drum diameter tapping it firmly with a copper hammer and also tap on the face where the wheel studs are then use the extraction bolts to try to ease it off.

    XL Garage

http://www.xlgarage.com Just had an email enquiry from them via Piston Heads so thought i'd see if anyone had heard of them
  7. Does the brake disc rotate freely ?
  8. That's a good answer it could have been more amusing if your surname was Hunt
  9. If the eccentric adjusters come out okay and there not heavily corroded just clean them up apply some lube (copper slip) and re use them. All 8 are going to be over £200 i'd have thought
  10. Fingers crossed for you but getting them undone isn't the end of the story, as i said if any are seized and been seized for sometime the bushes could be knackered
  11. That'll be down to the thickness of the powder coat in the spigot bore
  12. It would also be a good idea if you can find a small round wire brush that will fit in a drill to clean out the inside of the metal sleeve in the bush
  13. Well there's 8 eccentric adjusters so you'll be doing well if all of them are okay. Get some good penetrating spray and give them a soak. I would after a while of them being sprayed get it on a ramp and tippex mark the position of each adjuster cam and then get the breaker bar out and see if they move, if they rotate i'd be inclined to take each adjuster out and clean it then lube it up and pop it back in place lining the tippex mark up. Then i'd take it for the geo
  14. Page BR-60 has a good diagram of the handbrake You really shouldn't have to smash the disc off though, i'd try spraying some penetrating fluid through the hole onto the adjuster You can also tap round the outside of the drum with a copper hammer which can help to free off the shoes. Last resort is to bash them off and as said if you have to do this get a new fitting kit (Toyota) BR.pdf
  15. Your wasting your time with WD40, a good penetrating spray might help but if their seized properly then the only route is to cut them off and replace them. When they seize inside the sleeve in the bush it tends to tear the bush apart, even if the bush is okay it can be very hard even when the arm is off the car to get the shaft of the eccentric adjuster out of the bush, then your left with either getting new suspension arms or poly bushing your arms and new eccentric adjusters which ever way you go
  16. Stock alloys will be perfect as they will have the correct spigot bore in them whether they are 16" or 17"
  17. Try and get aluminium spigot rings or even st/st
  18. That's way to tight, 75-80 ft lbs, all your doing is stretching the threads in the nuts
  19. You need to measure the bore in the wheel, the hubs are 60.1 mm If your wheel nuts are made from a cheap aluminium that you can't tighten to at least 70 ft lbs bin them and buy some that will
  20. Do you have pics of this ? - - - Updated - - - Oh and well done Rob
  21. I have an induction kit but can safely say i've never thought to consider which sounds best and by the sound of it the op's is a stock filter on an NA so i'm quite surprised it makes any noise at all
