  1. Apart from turbo related problems they have all the same faults a tt has
  2. Not sure if the wsm has any helpful info in it Page AC-32 has a good diagram AC.pdf
  3. Different offsets don't mean they will clear UK front calipers, the centre section doesn't move further in or out, only where the tyre sits in relation to the hub face moves so make sure the wheel design will clear the front face of the caliper
  4. The clearance between the caliper and wheel is dependent on the design of the back of the spokes and diameter of the wheel
  5. Gets my vote and possibly even the cold temp sensor perhaps ? Leaking valve stem oil burns off pretty quickly and doesn't re occur until the engine isn't run for sometime
  6. I would think the vss's would have to be leaking very badly to cause a missfire, mine were totally scrap but it didn't missfire How long does your car blow out blue/grey smoke for when first started ? Mine used to be less than 5 secs at its worst
  7. Mikalor hose clamps on mine and never had a problem
  8. I'd get a rad cowl fitted as the viscous isn't doing a fat lot without one
  9. There are several PDF's on pretty much everything on the mkiv gte & ge, they should be on the home page, click on the repair manuals button at the top left. It would pay to make sure the adjuster between the shoes is nice and free when you do this as they tend to seize up. A good clean with a spray brake cleaner is a must and a smear of copper grease on the thread of the adjuster, only a tiny smear though
  10. Welcome to the forum, hope your thick skinned and have good sense of humor as i think your going to need it
  11. Page BR-60 onwards in the Brake system PDF BR.pdf
  12. Not that much work, remove all the old lacquer, prime it, flat the primer then paint & re lacquer £300 or there abouts depending where you go
  13. 4.3 secs & 187 mph if you pull the trac fuse
  14. I'd think the only cure would be to flat all the lacquer off and then re lacquer it. Had very similar happen to a cheap TRD c/f copy wing/spoiler
  15. Go round the car and bolt check it, get it on a ramp for an hour and torque up every nut and bolt
  16. Ah too late but not sure what i have is what your looking for anyway
  17. The part number on my box's is 23209-49035
  18. Surprised we've not heard about them if that's the case
