  1. Would it not be possible to fit a couple of 8" subs either side behind the rear passenger panels, did this on my old s14 and it worked really well.
  2. That is good! i pay that and i'm twice your age, but i do have agreed value on mine.
  3. Thanks for the offer Paul, but i think i'm going to hang on for a bit, may even go the DIY route.
  4. I'm in a bit of a quandary as to the best way to go on this, i bought a cheap universal which doesn't fit needless to say! but i could make my own using this! or i could buy one from one of the traders, now i have PMd emailed four of the traders on here and only two have had the courtesy to reply! (do they actually want the business:rolleyes: )? Now they are not cheap! and i have heard of fit issues with some, so can someone recommend one? or an alternative from elsewhere?
  5. Its not hard, i'm also an IT numpty;) but you can soon get the hang of it, my only problem is that the math charts don't work right and crash every time i try to use them:(
  6. Thats very pretty mate, wish i had the time for you to take me out in it when i was up collecting my Supra.
  7. Yeah i know but it will actually show a stable voltage if you put a meter on it,but you cant calibrate it, just wondered if the tac signal was a converted one? dose the taco not work from an analog signal? obviously the ing feedback is pulse, intake temp would be good:) i don't have the RPM converter so i'm looking for a way around, wish i knew how to get a converted RPM signal out of the Emanage, it must convert in order to log.
  8. Very nice! love the wheels and the bonnet.
  9. I am looking for some 0-5V feeds for datalogging to my LM-1 now the std pressure sensor or the Greddy one should be no problem, but i have noticed when installing the wiring for my Emanage that there is the ing feedback that the Emanage uses for RPM and there is also a tac output presumably to feed the tachometer! anyone know if either of these will give a 0-5V signal that i can calibrate for RPM logging? i managed it on my s14 by using the RPM feed from my Eo-1 but i don't have this now, and if anyone knows of any other 0-5V signal that i can take a feed from it would be helpful, and would save me time with a meter.
  10. Water injection on its own will not increase power what it does do is allow you to run slightly advanced ignition timing and get the fuelling spot on! BUT you do need a fail safe device that can either cut boost or retard timing in the event of no water/blocked jet etc!
  11. Great! look forward to the next, is the pub at Kingston right on the corner at the lights? same road as the race corse?
  12. Sell it to me cheap! going by my thermocouple temps in the sandwich plate, i was supprised that on normal/town driving i get 100c and up to 112 when on boost so i am inclined to think that the Supra needs a more efficient oil cooler, but i am going by my old s14 temps, and that never went over 95c unless really booted, i did have an old VW once that used to go to 112c.
  13. No but i know someone who lives there, and its not like the powers that be are not aware of the actual and potential climate changes! like always they just fail to implement any provisions to deal with the problems!
  14. Yeah the ban pisses me right off to! but i won't get started, suffice to say i have a mate who works for the water board, so i know some of the ins and outs;) but he's a supporter of the ban and we always end up having the same discussion/row! anyway if the government hadn't sold off the bloody water companies we wouldn't be in this mess! you don't see countries like Spain suffering from the crap we have to put up with! and they get far less rainfall! gets off soapbox:innocent:
  15. Did anyone go? how was it? and did you find a better venue?
  16. Not had a look yet, but i think you are right about the intake, same size/shape runners and equal plenum are not going to do much for flow, but then there's little room for anything better, as for vent, i think behind the rad would help, but the heat generated by such a large/long engine also needs a way out for the hot air, but a vent further back may not work as it encroaches on the pressure change area in front of the screen, have you removed the bonnet lining? and does it make any difference? may achieve the opposite in strong sun though. Also been trying to find info on oil temps, but not turned up anything in a search!
  17. Interesting read John, "The Supra is a challenge though, looks like someone in Toyota needs a slap." LOL the most worrying point for me is your comment about your water injection not making much difference on boost:( as i was hoping for similar results to my s14! it seems that the Supras biggest problem is heat soak due to having so much crammed into the engine bay, and the only way around this that i can see is getting more air flow through it! i think i may try and introduce another air intake into the air filter area before i resort to a std air box, is there a place to get a thermocouple into the plenum without removing and drill and tap? or should i settle for just before the throttle?
  18. I think a decent size cold air feed to a closed/semi closed shield would help, certainly did on my s14, but the Supra does seem to suffer from high under bonnet temps, of coarse the other option is to vent the bonnet into the induction box.
  19. I may have to if i can't find a better solution.
  20. Yeah the rare ones are the Shelby Cobras and they are all signed by Carol Shelby!
  21. Since my car came with an induction kit, and seeing the pathetic heat shield, i made a more enclosed version to try and keep the worst of it away! well now i have some spare thermocouples sitting under the bonnet waiting to be placed i thought i would stick one next to the air filter, and was supprised to see that the temp only went 10c lower than the rest of the engine bay at speeds of 80-100! the rest of the time it was only 4-5c below! so i think i will have to find a way of getting more cold air into it! far cry from my s14, i had the same sort of set-up and could get induction temps down to near ambient! Another thing i have noticed is that the Supra could do with a decent oil cooler! as my temps on boost were 103- 112c:(
  22. Just resurrecting this as i have another question, when i used it on my last car, it was set for AFM and i did not need to use the boost cut feature, so can someone tell me the correct settings for this? and do i need to clamp the same voltage for each rpm increment? i will be using the Greddy pressure sensor for the correct fuelling above the clamped setting.
