  1. I can see the reason for the big grin! very nice! what kit is that?
  2. Info for anyone who is running Emanage, you can drive and map the Aquamist 2C kit with this, works very well! i have been using this set up on my S14, and was able to map for 305bhp, from 256bhp using just Aquamist and next size up injectors.
  3. Running it over filled, could cause it to blow an oil seal, also it could cause a lot of oil mist/vapour to go into the induction system, via the engine breathers.
  4. I would have thought that the first thing is to change the plugs, slightly colder and diferent type may help, and just don't rag it! RRs do tend to show up any det problems because they tend to run the car up in fourth gear, so it will show up det in the early part of the rev range due to the loading! (you wouldent normaly subject it to that sort of loading on the road)
  5. Wideband lambda is in essence a highly accurate O2 sensor (like the std ECU uses to monitor fueling) its just able to read a wider range of AFR ratios, by using a wideband in conjunction with a piggyback or stand alone engine management, you will be able to ajust the fueling map to achieve the correct fueling throughout the rev/load range, hope this makes more sense. Don't know about the plugs as i'm not to familiar with the Supras quirks yet! very pretty car buy the way!
  6. Have to agree, widband lambda will allow you to see just where your fueling needs changing (pref with data loging) Inovate LM-1 ! suprised that people have probs with the NGK platinum? its always the opposit with the Nissan s14 SR20DET! the Densos that are melting! if you want to run that sort of boost, then some management is needed, emanage maybe, and perhaps larger injectors.
  7. Need to talk to someone with a comprehensive knowledge of supras, regarding a couple that I've looked at, it would take ages on here, so is there anyone who would care to pm me their number, who doesn't mind answering a few questions and giving a few pointers please?
  8. the red button with japanese text underneath it that looks like an ejector button! if its a targa top then it pobably is! :upside: i drove an auto on some B roads at lowish speeds and found that i realy noticed the lack of engine braking!
  9. Looks awfull mate! whatever made you buy that! sell it to me! seriously though it looks spot on! (apart from the bits already mentioned) how are you getting on with an auto box?
  10. If you get a local body shop to spray it, apart from using a plastc primer, they can also add an elastic additive to the paint which should stop any cracks caused by flexing.
  11. Its a bog standard UK TT auto 113K, won't see it untill next week, did drive a jap spec TT auto today (briefly) 53K felt ok just a little rough around the edges, and a little expensive at 9K, but maybe i'm being a cheapskate! i do know what to look for when buying a car, (used to be a motorcycle mechanic, and i'v modified mine and fixed other peoples cars for years) but i was just wondering if there were any particular quirks with the supra that i need to know about?
  12. How much of a problem is high mileage (over 100K)? UK FSH, and how long do the turbos last? is there anything in particular that is likely to go? other than shocks, brakes etc.
  13. Yeah the first pic looks great! but the bonnet, back, and interior spoil what would be a classy looking car.
  14. Just got a quote from A plan, for £640 FC, basic mods etc, so its looking a bit better just waiting for Houghtons to get back to me.
  15. Thanks Faye, looks like i'l have to be more patient on the phone! spent 1.5 hrs trying to get hold of my co (HIC) good for 200SX, my s14 is FC, agreed value, and heavily modified £470, did manage to get hold of Adrian Flux, but got a disappointing £978 FC for 94 TT GZ import with basic mods + wheels!
  16. Just wondering who is the be best insurers for supras/ not been able to get through to my ins co today! what sort of prices are people paying for imports, with mods? err slightly more mature driver fully comp, and has anyone got agreed value?
  17. Looks good hadyn, i hope it all goes well for you, need to find one myself soon.
  18. Thanks for the warm welcome people hiya hadyn thought you had fallen for the R33GTRs! not actualy driven a supra yet! but i have driven the R32 and R33, and with my s14 making over 300bhp, the supra will have somthing to live up to, but i suspect it won't disappoint, just need to find one and book a drive.
  19. Thanks guys, what can i expect to pay for an import TT with mild mods, say exhaust, induction and maybe wheels, which will save me money in the long run, i know the jap enthusiasts can be a little err hard on there cars! so what sort of checks do imports get subjected to? (if any)?

    Hello!

Hi, another newbie here, and hi to the other fugitives from the SXOC that i'v spoted here, although not 100% certain yet, i'm starting to feel the need for a change after four years of 200SX ownership. So although Skylines are nice, i'm inclined to think that a Supra would be a better car for me! pref a TT, and after doing a little research (thanks Keith) i find that tuning is not going to be a totaly finically crippling prospect! (can't leave anthing standard for five mins) so pending the sale of my s14, i will be hanging around on here gathering info for my new project (hopefuly)! can anyone piont out some good importers/car sales that i can check out pricing ect.
