  1. I've already made this comment in another thread, but unless we're walking, why would you want to be leaving Thurrock at 6.30 to get to South Mimms for 8.00-8.15? it's only a 45 minute drive! - Or less than 30 with a clear run
  2. Can't say I've found Walbros to be excessively noisy. I can hear a slight whine on idle, but once your moving, or the stereos on, you can't hear it. Dont ge me wrong though, the UK pump is good. It can flow more than a Walbro, but it does cost a lot more. Just for reference, the Sytec is a rebadged Walbro.
  3. Can I make a suggestion? - Can we make the arrival time at Thurrock for 6.30, with a view to leaving at 7.00. The journey from Thurrock to Mimms is only about 45 minutes.... Unless someone intends to drive reeeeeaaaalllllyyyyy slowly I've done the journey twice this week, once in rush hour, and even that only took just over an hour.
  4. Easy enough. The rears are a more-or-less straight 17cm replacement. The fronts are 10cm in a plastic enclosure. You can either change that, or fit a 17cm speaker to the door card, or make up a template to mount the speaker to the door. (obviously the latter is better, but far more time consuming).
  5. Only if it was a GZ, or an added from the list of options from new. Easy to tell, you'll have a large plastic lump in the boot carpet just behind the rear seat.
  6. I think there's always a chance that any tubular manifold can crack. (some are more prone than others), As far as I'm aware, we've had no BL failures over here yet. As I've said, mines still going strong and as a 'toy' car, when it does come out, it's pretty fair to say it gets some abuse. Whilst Arnouts manifold is very well made, it does mean that you need to then get all the pipework modified to make it fit. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any ready made 'kits' that will make the job a simple one, and it would certainly add to the cost.
  7. Well, seeing as they're dropping like flies, even though my clutch isn't too healthy, I'm happy to do top speed runs just to make the numbers up... That of course is if anyones good at pulling strings... I'll be there either way.
  8. All of them? - Even the ones underneath the intake and the ones that go around the rear of the engine?

According to a recent test published in Banzai magazine, it looks like Tesco's 99 stuff is only marginally better than 95. Their test was done on a proper engine dyno using a highly modified Nissan 200sx engine and stand alone ECU. The test showed that 95 octane needed the ignition timing backed off and it produced just over 500bhp. Next up was the Tesco stuff, and whilst they could re-advance the timing, they couldn't add too much more before det occured. Tescos stuff made about 510ish. Next up was the BP ultimate, which allowed a further increase in ignition timing and made around 525ish, and lastly, Optimax whch allowed even more ignition advance and pushed out about 537.* So, providing you have nice fresh Optimax, it still looks like its the better option. Although Optimax can lose a RON or two as time goes by, so I'd imagine those results were based on fresh Optimax. *Don't quote me on those figures. The magazine was published a good few months ago, and my memory isn't THAT good;)
  10. If you fancy a drive to Kent, you're more than welcome to have a drive of my car if you want to feel what a T67 non-dbb feels like. My car runs 1.4 bar of boost on a daily basis, and I have run 1.8 bar at some events, with no signs of any wastegate issues. As Martin said, I doubt you'd notice any difference between the two kits from behind the wheel. I can't comment on the PHR kit's components as I've never seen one in component form. Mine is a BL kit. The qualty is good and it's lasted over 2 years now with some fairly hard driving, and still going strong.
  11. I've put my name down on the calender for the Sunday...
  12. To be honest, John isn't the only one. My wife told me that if I intended to go, to get my name down quickly. So, I had a few minutes this morning, (and I mean a few minutes), and tried to put my name down. The first place I thought to look was the events section.... After reading a brief selection of posts about colours and stuff, I noticed the thread was locked... Then I did a quick search for JAE.... Time's up... Too many threads. Again, like John, I wasn't aware of a FAQ. It seems to be a real big deal this year
  13. Blitz nur sounds good with a single! With OR without the baffle
  14. Is that the best you could come up with?
  15. I can virtually guarantee that this doesn't have anything to do with Terry trying to bully an opposition trader. He simply doesn't like unproven statements, (or bullshit, to put it another way). In fact in most cases in the past where Terry has ended up in a confrontation about something, it's usually where someone is claiming someting that is unsubstatiated. Unfortunatly, it's in his nature to not back down. Terry, Alex and a few others on here thrive on the spec of different performance parts. I'm sure that if Bijal had come back with specs that made the Garrett equivilent look crap, they'd have been happy to accept it. Well said Ian C. That just about sums it up.
  16. Cor, I don't know. All this thread and people still haven't realised. If it costs more, and looks shiney, especially if it has something annodised, it's bound to be better.

I'll do it if you want to bring it to me in Maidstone
  19. Only if you try to cut corners. I love my car with the single on it, and hate the sequentials. I'd like to think mine was done properly, without cutting corners, and the only problems I've ever had were self-inflicted ones that are regardless of turbo type/quantity... 2 years and counting
  20. Yep. Anywhere that does litium cell batteries. I think it's either a 2025, or 2032.
