  1. If you don't, you'll get it up the ass anyway! So, how did the conversation go when you were pulled? Cop - Do you know how fast you were travelling son? Bob - Yeah mate, 140+, but you couldn't keep up ha-ha!
  2. Not without some kind of fuel controller. AFC, E-manage etc.
  3. Yep, that's why I had my car painted yellow.... ............. - Doh! I totally agree with Nick above. Keep polite, don't answer back, and don't speak unless you're spoken to. Certainly don't be mouthy, and don't try to justify any stupid driving they may have seen you doing.
  4. It's too 'incomplete'' to sell as a car, and without John, no-one has the time or money to rebuild it, so its parts are worth more than the car as it is. The seats are leather Konig K5000's but I think they have a taker.
  5. It's in cold storage, and about to provide Johns family with a bit of income.
  6. LOL, let me know. Most of the car is still intact.
  7. I've met him once, long ago, but the car's been in a couple of mag features before.
  8. No worries mate. Rest assured, those concerned, myself included, are doing the decent thing and looking after the interests of a friend who I believe to have been unjustly dealt with and now requires a little help to assist his family whilst he is incapacitated. Any other presumptions of where we can sell any parts at decent prices will be much appreciated
  9. Anything else you'd care to presume?
  10. Must be Leon Brittons old car?
  11. Speaking from experience. My wife has a virtually bog standard UK spec Impreza with ~230 bhp. I have a very non-standard Supra ~550 bhp. The Subaru can and will out gun me around town, purely because it has much shorter gearing, and 4wd. This equates to having traction virtually everywhere. Whereas my car struggles for traction in 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd. this means I have trouble accelerating hard from anything less than 60mph. On a long road with reasonable bends, yes, the Supra may have the edge. On a straight road, like a dual carriageway, the Subaru wouldn't stand a chance after about 60. Big horsepower doesn't necessarily make a quick point-to-point car.
  12. No idea where that came from...
  13. Want any parts from a 10 second car?
  14. If it's averaging 14's at full throttle, start saving for a new engine...
  15. Water temp map is very useful for a nice cold start when you have bigger injectors.
  16. Yes, as the UK car doesn't use the MAP sensor to control fuelling. The MAP sensor on a UK car is only used to activate fuel cut on overboost.
  17. And some will scale the MAP sensor output, meaning that you're fuelling will always be incorrect.... Get the Thor one. £70-80 IIRC
  18. To be fair, I've fitted loads of Thor FCD's and I've not ever had a problem. I have had a couple of problems with the speed convertors, that was then traced to interference from electo-luminescent dials, and Pete changed them immediatly without quibble. I'd suggest re-fitting it from scratch. Double check the pins you're connecting to are the correct ones, then if you're still having problems, contact Pete. Does you're engine warning light come on? - If so, you've got the in/out wires the wrong way around.
  19. I've never taken a J-spec caliper apart, but on the UK spec, the rubber seal goes on the piston first, then the dust seal goes around the piston and the retaining clip hold the seal to the caliper. - It's bloody messy and fiddly!
  20. Looks like a VSV plug. If you've got a single conversion, you don't need it any more/there's no-where to plug it in. LOL, the 3rd pic IS one of the VSV's... How odd!
  21. Yeah, you could see the power increase on the NA plots today too. Should be an even steeper power curve with your car now
  22. Where/what rollers was than on Nick? Don't talk to me about bloody clutches!
  23. It's a Dyno-Dynamics rolling road. Personally, I like the figures from these machines as they seem to be more realistic. You can't compare dyno results from different makes of machine. G-force use Dyno-Dynamics rollers, and I've always found their figures to be quite reliable, so as Bob said, the S2000 would be closer to the 190 mark. I know people prefer to see higher numbers. Personally, I'd rather quote a lower figure Nick, it'd be great to see your NA-T on the dyno. Fancy a trip to Medway?
