  1. Hmmm. My sender mount looks like your Mocal stat but with only the one pipe each side... Do you use the stat to limit the flow until the box is warm?
  2. How did you mount the tranny oil temp sender?? I got hold of an inline fitting for the actual oil line but I'm not overly convinced on it. It looks like the sender will be shielded by the mount and not allow and oil around it only onto the very end tip of the sender so I dont know how acurate it will be. I'm kinda considering drilling and tapping a tread into the tranny sump and fitting the sender there.. any pictures on your mounting point??
  3. Have you made the flappy paddle part yet or are you still using the tiptronic buttons?
  4. I have LPGed my 4.7ltr Jeep. No difference in mpg or power, lots of difference in price. Thing is...you said you were looking at doing it on your turbo DIESEL. I dont think you can do it to diesels. (I have heard of it being used as a performance additive to racing deisel trucks but not an alternative fuel.) Be happy to be proved wrong, every day being a school day and all that.
  5. I havent been able to find them but I have seen them...still looking. Maybe someone on Toyodiy??
  6. All the front, upper and lower and ARB, some for the rear. Specialist tool for front lower arms... http://www.soarerworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4802&highlight=replacement+bushes Part numbers and availibility for rear bushes... http://www.soarerworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24006
  7. I have had one for ages, sorry I never saw this otherwise I would have commented on it. It is well worth the money. I then went on ebay and for 5.99 bought 14,000 si fi books!!!!! And for 2.99 3000 modern fiction (all good authors, and 2010 books!) You can then download a programme called Calibre that changes the media to one that is easliy read by the kindle. PDFs are fine but alot of the 'pirate' books are pdf for ease, then convert them to mobo for the kindle and you can size the letters to comfort.
  8. 20 years!!!!! You only have 2 more to do for a full pention bud!! Hang in there!!! I know what you mean, thats why I poped smoke years ago and do it as a 'Reservist', best of both worlds.
  9. 2 small squares of ally sheet and a set of molle grips per brake line.
  10. Hi mate, I work with a few lads who are/have been in the RMP CP team. Not really sure what you are after, but as a very brief broard brush the general skills you will need/be taught are... Fitness (normally the RMP are not the fittest of soldiers but the CP teams are very fit (for RMP)) Driving - Defensive and extrication CQB skills And very tounge in cheek.... Trying to look Ally!!! They dont use the normal range of UK weapons but can use what is best for the situation (MP5, SIG, Shotgun, DiMarco/C4 etc) and are usually a very professional bunch. There are always the stories of an ND or someone shooting themselvs in the hand/foot etc but every unit has those inc the SAS. In short get your phys up, and general body strength. Other than that they try to keep themselves to themselves. You may be better off asking on the Army Rumour Service.
  11. Sorry mate, they can be got on ebay for £100.
  12. I gave up on it too...I got about a 3rd through and went to the Great Khans camp and tribal village and it got a little buggy, went to the vault that is near by and had an epic crash. The game hasnt worked since, in fact almost all of my Steam games started to have issues then...inc Crysis 2!!! Grrrrr! Then started decorating the 'office' room and havent played a game in about 3 months! Now you posted this up I want to go back and log on and try to redown load the entire thing and give it all a go again!!!!
  13. Have a chat with AjazYazin on here, he has a monster of a 1.5JZ running in the 800's I seem to recall.
  14. A 1.5JZ is traditionally a 1JZGTE head on a 2JZGE block. Lots of people have done it, no lack of parts - you just need to look. The 1JZ is a very popular engine in Japan and has a lot of tuning potential. There is lots of internet rubbish about it having better flowing porperties than the 2JZGTE head - but it is just that, internet rubbish. As an option to turbo a 2JZGE lump it is a cheap-ish option. But due the kits like the one from Whifbits doing a NA-T is getting cheaper and easier to do.
  15. I have one. I'm swapping ecu to an Apexi Power FC so I dont need it any more. £100 plus del if you want it.
  16. This is awesome mate!!! Thanks for this!!!
  17. Great news.... I have Locktite in the garage already from when I did the diff and tranny oil sump!
  18. The reason is due to life risk/the amount of people in the property. Same sort of thing goes for businesses, under 5 employees then you only need a smoke detector...over that and it gets expensive!
  19. Ok cheers. Looks like an inline one it is then. I just seemed to recal a thread where someone like CW was saying one in the sump was better....oh well! Ta muchly all.
  20. I have tried to use the search button and didnt manage to find what I was after...though I do remember reading a thread on it!!! In short I want to fit an autobox oil temp guage and am wondering about the best place for the sender. Either fit an in line sender from the box to the (first) cooler. Or Drill and tap a hole and fit the sender into the sump of the autobox. So my main question(s) is....which would give the better reading and if I fit it in the sump what exactly would I have to do??...eg.... Remove sump, drill a Xmm hole then tap a tread into it. Or would I need to get a boss welded into the sump then drill that as the sump wall is too thin to hold a thread?
  21. No tabbing, its more of the circuits and other type training. It is actually quite good fun, and there are lots of women.....did I mention that? lol..... The ones in London at the big parks are rammed.
  22. Yep, I have done it off and on for about two years. I have to stop now though because the new shift times that have been given to us mean for my £42 a month I can only attend 6 times a month now instead of 3 times a week!!!! (Poxy Fire Brigade!!!) They also run all sorts of extra fun runs and fun days and piss ups! Also ......lots of chicks!
  23. I have looked into it a few times.... I'm also a bike instructor (DAS) but havent done that for a few years. Various ways of doing it..... 1. Go to a place like Red/The Instructor College and pay around the £2K mark, sometimes it works out closer to £2.5K. If you are lucky you will be taken on by a school and offered work. The down side is they expect a 'fee' for the car and customer referals, even if they only give you 2 a week or 200. Some places charge over the odds, like over £100 a week! 2. Find a friendly local school who also teach instructors, they will still charge but a lot less. Same with the referals. 3. Do it yourself. Log onto the DSA website, it has all the info. You can by the manuals for the first part of the test for around £50, then book the test yourself and wammo you have passed your part 1. Part 1. Highway Code theroy test. A very long version of the normal highway code test. Part 2. Driving Test. You take an extended driving test with an examiner, I think its something like 5 minors and your failed! Part 3. Teaching. You can after part 2 get a provisional instructors licence and start teaching and earning, but there is a time limit that you have to take and pass your Part 3 in. Part 3 is the final test, you 'teach' a driving examiner who will make deliberate mistakes and you have to see them and 'teach' them not to do them. Cheapest way of doing it.... Is study and book and pass the Part 1 yourself. The book a driving lesson with a school who 'teach' instructors local to you. Get them to give you a driving assessment. Then go away and practice, the do the assessment again. When they say your ok...book the part 2. And pass. Then buy you own instructors car and find a local school who will give you instruction on the part 3 phase, while doing that you teach and earn. It comes to a lot less than the £2.5K some places want to charge you. That said it isnt something I think will pay well as a full time job at the moment, there are a lot of schools out there...I see cars near me with signs on offering 5 lessons for £58!!!! At 1 hour a lesson.....that is crap money and who knows if it will cover the bills. Of course, it could be subject to status...ie its the first lessons so not much petrol, and you book up front more than the 5 and pay for them in advance.... so who knows. I was going to do it as a part time job to my normal one of being in the fire brigade, but I have found something else, more fun, better paid, not as regular though.. Good luck!
