  1. Or get the 4WD aristo...and shove the running gear into the Sup...swap the V8 for the 2JZ and crack on!
  2. Great thread....doing mine very soon on a 1JZ and a set of Crower 264 cams.
  3. Hmmm. Thats on my wireless laptop at home from a supposed Virgin 50meg account. Will have to try it with the wired in main frame..... And WTF does ping mean???? Is it good or bad???
  4. Had mine done 16 years ago in London, Optimax on the Fichley Road. £375. It was the old style called PRK, basically they lasered the front of your eye shorter. I was very short sighted, and now I am still on 20/20 vision, though I am soon approaching the age where I will need reading glasses. Best thing I have ever done. No regrets. Yes there were some short term issues, and one long term issue. They are both basically about night vision, now in my left eye I get a very slight halo around lights at night. Nothing too bad, and my right eye is much better at seeing in darkness than my left because of it. I had to have my eyes done 6 months apart from each other due to the type of operation (Lazic and Lasac were not yet invented), basically they operated on your worst/least dominant eye to see how well it healded and then made any adjustments needed for the better/dominant eye. As mine was the right eye sronger it worked out ok for shooting and other soldier type activities.
  5. This is a 'common' swap in Aus-land..... have a look on the Aussie Soarer sites (they are more adventureous than the UK owners in doing new tech stuff and spending money) like ALSC ( http://www.lexusaustralia.org/entry.htm ) and Soarer Central (http://soarercentral.com/cgi-bin/sc-forum/discus.cgi). They also supercharge them far more than over here, saying that if you havent looked as Soarer World (a UK site) there is a lot of info on there about the Soarer and charging it.
  6. I like to save the updates to this thread up, then sit here drooling like the local village idiot over the pictures!!!! Where did you get the coolant bleader pot from? It looks like a fantastic idea. Fantastic worl mate, shere automotive art! Anyway...back to the pictures.......
  7. Due to a lack or room in my Soarer I have changed my plans. I'm getting a 2 in 1 guage to cover this so these are now not needed. They are brand new, still in boxes, only opened once to check all the bits were there. I bought them from ProlexUK and he still has them for sale on his website.. http://prolex-uk.com/store/index.php?cPath=469 They are £27.23 for the water and £29.79 for the oil from him. The colours are Super White & Amber for both with a black face when off, they come with sensors. I will do them for £20 each plus del. The phots are NOT the actual ones, I can take some if interested.
  8. 1JZ fuel rail is fine, and if you use UK Supra 440's then no resistor pack needed. Getting a bit confused on what you need, 1JZ's only have the 1 cat, which is the same as the 2nd cat on a SUp. The down pipe bit can also be supplied by Whifbitz iirc, when I was last there I think Paul showed me both lots. By the way, the workmanship on the pipework he sells for the 1JZ is awesome!!!
  9. Thanks Chris, its the adaptors I'm after....do you sell them or just the probes? Water temp - I have a water bypass kit that takes a feed from the water pipe at the rear of the engine and brings it to the top rad hose. The top rad hose is a metal pipe with a housing already welded on and I need an adaptor to make the sensor fit the housing. With the SS adaptor for the EGT sensor - what thread/depth does the sensor need to be? Also, do I have to use the sensors that came with the gauges or can I use any sensors, ie ones from you.
  10. Anyone know where I can get mounts to place the sensors in? I have EGT, and I want to attach it to the 6th runner on the HKS manifold (single) but I need to get a boss mount the right size then get it welded on. Oil temp (for the auto box) I need a small block that will fit in line, fill with oil and take the sensor in. Water temp, what I'm after is not the ebay special where you have to cut a hose and place a unit in as I have a water bypass kit - but one where I can screw the sensor into a mount as there is a boss already fitted to the hard top pipe of the bypass kit.
  11. If the pfc is for the 1JZ vvti from a chaser then it will be very good. As wise ol' Wilson said......in post 11.
  12. I dont know who to feel sorry for... the soldier for having some complete scum break in, his missus, he's about to be off to Afgan so she would have been there on her own..very scary for her, or the little fekin scrote who thinking he was all Charlie Potatoes wiv a knife maaaan has a mad raging nekid mad punching through a car window and repeadidly punching him in his stupid face!!! Laugh...I almost fell off my chair!!! Top skills fella!!!
  13. The ones that are about new are for the Chaser 1JZ, if your 1JZ is out of a Soarer then they will not work. I cant remember the reason but the engine/electrics/ecu are different between the two. And when I got mine, I got the Chaser one first...and it didnt work. So I then finally found a second hand Soarer one....for £850 on ebay!!!!!! (It came with commander and boost control)
  14. Coolio!!! Thanks chaps!!! Now off to fit the new drop links..... Yippie!!!! £150 saved!
  15. Have a look in your email folders, in the deleted folder. It seems that when you delete them they dont actually go, they get moved into there instead. I was getting the low phone mem sign for ages and ended up removing almost all of my apps which was really annoying until I read that on a forum, so I deleted over 6.5k emails!!!! from the phone delete folder and now there is more than enough mem. Hope that helps.
  16. Ok, here is the question. I need some suspention drop links and have just been told by a mechanic who I respect enormously that Blueprint parts are as good as Toyota OEM parts. Now am I getting my wires crossed, I thought Blueprint were pattern parts and therefore cheaper than OEM but not as good? The main reason for asking is the drop links are about £100 cheaper that are Blueprint.
