  1. http://www.gatesgarth.com/frosty/DSC01135.html What on earth sort of dog is that? I'd love to see someone give that a good stroke with a rod of amber and charge it up
  2. Punch it off on the motorway whilst doing 70 when your passenger is trying to leap onto a truck you're following. But in all seriousness, keep it stock. Ibrar's car pulls it off with the whole wide arch kit and the general leary nature of the car.
  3. I couldn't have blamed her, I wouldn't have taken the X6 either
  4. I'd recommend asking this in the Tech section chap.

    REM split up

    You sure? Everybody hurts sometime
  6. If you weren't a mod I'd go tell you to sit in the corner until you retract that horrible statement of a possibility. Next it'd have a diesel option (I'd only accept that if they were entering it in the LM 24h)
  7. Pay cheap, pay twice. Or Measure twice, cut once (if working on it yourself). You are as others have said, better off going for a stock TT transplant. Then if you fancy more than 'a little' bit of power, you have the options open to you. afaik not many have got north of 450bhp on an NA-T.
  8. I still though have some weird imagery in my head of the media going into a frenzy over instant porridge. Especially if any news challenges have really nice weather girls
  9. Knowing your uncle owned it I think somehow it's been *very* well looked after. If this doesn't sell at a reasonable price for both parties concerned I will quite frankly, eat LBM's hat.
  10. http://www.americansweets.co.uk/ekmps/shops/statesidecandy/images/american-quaker-traditional-white-hominy-grits-1170-p.jpg Do you have a phobia of general oat based products then?
  11. I always love checking the weather in one place when people say about this http://www.weather.com/weather/5-day/RSXX0122 And it's quite mild! I believe I saw it hit -51C the other year, people were having to shovel diesel into their cars as it was just frozen.
  12. £95 for a new OEM one? Try about £300.... if that's an OEM snap it up at that price. Auto have an additional cooler. iirc my replacement OEM TT Auto rad from Toyota direct was at least north of £250, with a 20% discount and they also are on an exchange basis - i.e. they want your old one back.
  13. Concussion is nasty stuff, I had it the last time I fractured my skull and basically you just want to lay down in a dark room for 3-5 days. Hope she's ok chap
  14. Paid via Paypal. Ryan, will also be looking to get the 3 bar map sensor, boost solenoids, knock sensor and TC sorted whilst mapping. Can we sort that (and you hold onto the ECU) when we get SRR sorted?
  15. I've got a 336 and a rackmount KVM as well as one of these under my desk
  16. http://blog.xkcd.com/2009/09/02/urinal-protocol-vulnerability/ Is a great piece of maths about it.
  17. Sorry didn't realise there was another thing to specify confirm! Have been stuck in a basement in east London all day. Auto without P&P loom please.
  18. EU sale of Goods Act covers you for 6 years for any electrical equipment - goods sold in the EU have to be seen to last 6 years so even wear is covered. I got my PS3 60Gb which I bought on launch replaced the other year under the act - you've got to keep your receipt and take it back to the retailer - as it's their responsibility. You're right manufacturer's warranty is 1-2 years. Basically all extended warranties are a crock - the only thing they're worth having for is if you're careless and you need cover for accidental damage or loss. Anything requiring a plug is covered by this act - TVs, washing machines, microwaves, curling tongs etc.
  19. Next time don't take it apart and take it back, it's covered for 6 years from purchase.
  20. Hi all, Anyone on here use either the Canon 50D or a 5D or a 1D? Any feedback on using them? Looking into how I can start geo-tagging my photos, it seems I can't with a 500D and I'd need to at minimum buy a 50D body, then get a WFT-E3A module by the looks of it. Or does anyone know an easier way to geotag photos with an EOS? Most threads on the net seem to date back to 2009 and I'm surprised the technology doesn't appear to have moved on. Cheapest I've found a 50D body is £619 at the moment, I'm sure someone on here also worked for Canon but can't for the life of me recall who it was Cheers Si
  21. Nero do them, and they're pretty widespread now.
