  1. Depends what you're after. you couldn't get more central than the ones on that list. The Berkeley is just around the corner from Harrods, If you;re into museums, The natural History, the Science & the Victoria & Albert are within walking distance. All the usual tourist sights are reasonably close, eg Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar square Any of the others are a short cab ride away from Soho/covent garden & leicester square. Also forgot the Ritz, that's Green park / Picadilly ....if the missus is into her shopping, there's Oxford street. Hold on .......this is turning into a bloody book
  2. 5 star places, The Berkely, The Hyde park, The Dorchester, The Hemple ( very modernist), The landmark, The Intercontinental, these are all central london,eg, park lane area, just a tube ride away from Wembley. enough for you:D
  3. Hi Wez, funnily enough, I've just had a couple of quotes for a new house alarm. both companies said wireless PIR's are reliable now, but not really worth the difference in price. one quote was £500 +vat......the other nearly £800 + vat The only other 'gadget' I was considering was a module that links to the phone line that can text or phone up to 8 different numbers in sequence to warn you when the alartm has been set off. john
  4. Change the rod & main bolts for arp's for a start. Proper ecu / map from initial start up. Run in on mineral based oil for the 1st 750-1000 miles. don't 'rag it' or place heay 'load' ( low rpms/ high gear) on engine
  5. why limit yourself to non VVTi VVti's are not that difficult to tune you have some good HKS f-con mappers over there, the unit is plug & play, & Reg Reimer @ Sonic is over in Canada (depends how deep your pockets are)......keeps the drive by wire throttle as well with the vvti. Why would you not want to keep the det protection?. puzzled John

    Coconuts

you can't really be more accurate.....all depends on diameter & quantity of milk inside ( the fresher the coconut- the more milk/ weight)

    Coconuts

    anything between 800 gms-1.5kg
  8. When my farther died last christmas from terminal cancer, He pleaded to go for 3 months, which was absolute hell for him, (& very painfull for my mum, my brother & me to sit and watch) The doctors could not do anything but wait for things to take thier natural course & let the gradual liver failure kill him. I would have gladly pulled the switch for him. My view is that where there is a obvious terminal illness, where quality of life & dignity are so low, the law should allow for volantary(sp) euthanasia.
  9. In snow mode & due to road camber, arse end sideways nearly all the way to work @ 5 mph. Hillarious........NOT Bloody council never can get the gritting right.
  10. Anne macaffery (sp)....the Dragons of pern set of books
  11. My pioneer 50'' has 4 fans.....you'd never know they're almost silent. Although expensive compared to other brands, can't fault the quality of picture, especially HD
  12. You could try the' Gap' series by Stephen Donaldson. The 'Dune' series ( Frank Hurbert has a good & long story line) Older books from Asimov are very clever. Nearly forgot...Arthur C Clarke
  13. Finally stopped p£%$&^*g about then Lui, :D knew you would eventually. John
  14. I have the tracker monitor. when my car has been loaded onto a breakdown truck in the past, tracker have phoned me after the car has been moving for about 2 mins to ask if the car is moving 'legitimately'. ( car being moved without ignition on activates it) If the car was stolen & subsequently found, they send someone to 'monitor' the car until it is recovered.
  15. freshwater 'tropical' fish are quite easy to look after, Marines can be a nightmare but are in a different league and make freshwater fish look quite plain. The 'ultimate' set up is a 'reef' tank .....but they can be superb have a look at.....ultimatereef.com for some amazing set ups
  16. try Gareth at Diamond styling, 01732779100 they won't be cheap though Jamie

  20. went on thursday...... the work on the technical cutaway GTR was superb..very clever piece of kit
  21. Lower wishbone bolts, seems to happen frequently on the VVTI's for some reason. Just needs to be undone & re-torqued. I've had this twice:( john
  22. Just make sure you start with a 4 line kite, there are a load of cheap 2 liners on the market that can be plain dangerous in moderate to high winds ( No brakes)
  23. as you seem fairly new to this, make sure you get some 'kite killers', or you'll be dragging your face along the ground. My 7 meter Radsail can easily lift me 10-15ft off the ground. you may also want to get a cheap windmeter ( tenner on ebay, & check the wind range of your kite) it's better to play safe........These things are not toys Seb the small 3 meter kites are a good place to start....just take it easy in light winds at first.
