  1. Jake, you really are a gem how you doing mate?
  2. A 98/99 vvti manual in RSP overpriced at 12k? A bit puzzled as to why someone would put the old style indicators on. The wheels are just wrong
  3. Unless the quality has changed over the last 2 years, the eagle rods that were fitted to both Mike B's car ( then Terrys) & mine were fine. Both engines have stock pistons. When weighed, both sets of 6 rods were all within 1gm of each other, & just over a third lighter than stock. There were no issues with fitting & the engine/s are far more responsive than with stock rods. I have done just over 35K miles with no issues, Daily driver & often hit 1.6-1.7 bar,........Risky? ...maybe. My engine has no oil loss between Changes( every 3k), & nothing apart from a little condensation water in the catch tank. But both cars were mapped by Reg Riemer using the F-con V pro, & the VVti ecu seems to keep Detonation under control . maybe this has made a difference to the longevity on our engines:shrug:
  4. such a shame, I know you put a lot of effort into this Car will be ready next wednesday So I'll be at the next one.
  5. If you must change it, go for the VS1.
  6. Don't think I'll be going.....car is still at GVN
  7. I had this on mine, the bearing carrier was worn and not keeping the bearing straight on the shaft. a new carrier cured it. You can check for movement through the gearbox inspection cover. I also had the lever pivot crack & bend...the should be rplaced as well John

  13. Thanks Claire I'll try that first
  14. Yes JB.......gets past the logon, it's in the middle of loading up after that it reboots. Antivirus has allways been up to date & I have regularly run scans. Hi Claire,..... I was only online to windows update. But even when I disconnected ( I allways turn off the wireless link when not online) it was ok
  15. Thanks for the replies, Guess it's off to look for a new HDD
  16. Says fie systen is fat 32, goes through check, finds different named files with with invalid unit allocation , then converts these lost chains to files.......says o.k & goes to logon screen.....The rest you know not a f*^&%£g clue:search: Hard disk buggered then? BUT how come when I did the recovery last night, everything worked o.k ........even after the gazillion reboots to get things loaded back on? No Dust in it anywhere.....Clean as a whistle inside

When I have logged on, as it is loading up, has a hissy fit & goes back to the checking disc screen. Last night I tried the recovery disc, which has put everything back to factory settings everything seemed to be o.k. Just switched on this afternoon,............& it' back to disc checking again...... Help!!!!!
