  4. Hi Ian, I know of 4 tips that have gone, all have taken a turbo with them. One of them mine:) wouldn't trust one in a runner again John
  5. Use mine everyday.......today was in snow mode all the way to work. going up hills even buses couldn't get up. still a pain though, john
  6. I had one on the directed engineering cast manifold kit........it worked fine. John
  7. Very good turnout, well done Lui. Paintwork on Carl Bibby's Chargespeed car was impressive Shame I could only get there late & couldn't stay 'till the end, Bloody work:) I don't think there is many other clubs with the same standard of cars as ours. John
  8. There's a Tow bar specialist in Park street village, Herts (Can't remember the name) that do detachable towbars for the Supra. Had one on my u.k Auto car for 8 years to tow a small trailer. had no problems at all. It doesn't look great, but with Kids & holidays, it's the only way to be practical. John

    Back to black?

keep it Purple, then you'll be even more inclined to keep it:) John
  10. I often keep an eye in inlets temps through my R-vit, it measures through the temperature sensor in the throttle body. In the summer on very hot days when ambient temps have been 28-30C, at a steady 70-80 mph inlet temps have been around 18-22c. in very slow traffic it can get as high as 48c, but as soon as there is a reasonable flow at 30-40mph you can see the temps visibly dropping very quickly to 22-28c John
  11. I'm running eagle rods with arps', so was was Terry S. no issues to report John
  12. It doesn't, with the VVTi it's best to use the F-Con as a piggyback & let the stock ECU handle the VVTi I have John
  13. it's a uk car with 550's, so the stock ecu should handle the idle as it's closed loop. BUT also at cold start the stock ecu puts in a hell of a lot more fuel but the map ecu 'could' be trying to add more.( depends on the map) until the wideband is correctly wired in, Martin won't be able to find out what is going on. The Map ecu doesn't adjust by af/r's like the emanage, only by what you tell it to do in the map. so you need to log runs & adjust where necessary. The Wideband needs to be linked to the Map ecu so you can read what's going on with the software and for logging purposes. I've run mine for the last 2 years.....it's not bad once you get your head around it:)
  14. I'm still happy with mine.........couldn't give a monkey's what other people think:D John
  15. Me, taking the car back to GVN for the final snaging. couldn't give it much of a blast, the missus was following Foodfreak MK2 IS BACK :D will post up some pics after Saturday John
  16. when my car was trailered to Phoenix last week, Tracker were on the phone within two minutes of it being driven off on the low loader..........no brainer really, does what it says on the tin:) John
  17. Stock flywheel with both 6 puck & max street. But when the puck finally gave up, I was quite alarmed at the wear in the cover plate, the pucks had gouged a trough in the cover plate & would shudder like a b****rd when it started slipping. absolutely horrible john
  18. AS Micheal said, All RSP's are definately NOT the same, can be a real bugger to match. The paint code is the same, but there are about 6 different shades John
  19. un-sprung, sprung are for lightened flywheels AFAIK John
  20. I had an RPS 6 puck, squealed like a pig when trying to slip it, a real bitch in traffic. I now run an RPS street max, heavier pdeal feel but slippable, copes with my T61 o.k John
  21. Hi Pete, I use the R-Vit alongside my SBC-id.....keep it on the six function option Intake temp water temp injector duty (in milliseconds) manifold pressure it's been so long since I've driven the car I can't remember the other 2 John
  22. The boiler in your kitchen heats the water for all of the system, The Cylinder( usually upstairs) stores hot water for your taps. You have a 3 way zone valve which means you can have hot water only, heating only, or both on together. For some reason, the heating signal to the zone valve is not getting through. You haven't messed about with the programmer settings or room thermostat have you? Try turning the room stat up John
  23. It could possibly be the pump ( listen to it with the programmer / heating switched on, you can take the centre plug out , behind should be the shaft, you can see if this is turning) but, I would have thought that you wouldn't have hot water. ( this depends on wether your system has pumped hot water. your zone valve could either be a 2 way or 3 way valve. How many pipes are going into the valve?) John
  24. the box is a zone valve, the resistance you feel is when the valve is closed & there is no signal to open from your programmer, & you're pushing to open it. it will reset itself after the programmer has switched the valve on. The problem could be either the programmer not telling the valve to open or a duff valve, but you would need to test the signal form the programmer to find out which is not working. Hope this helps john
  25. Hi Ulrik, p.m'd reply john
