  1. Executive Chef for a Kosher event company, stupidly long hours, lots of stress( your controlling a day someone will remember for the rest of their life, so no f*** ups), but can be great fun & such a good feeling when a client is very happy with their event
  2. Agree with jamie, my eagle rods have done just over 20k miles so far. When Mark weighed them, they were a 3rd lighter than stock. Both Terry s & I had these on our VVti's / singles....without any issues. Don't know why people still knock them. John
  3. If you like acoustic stuff try Andy mckee, an amazing guitarist can be very relaxing to listen to
  4. Mark won't take the work if He can't do it properly. It will mean us waiting longer wait for his services, I for one would prefer to wait....it's worth it John
  5. v pro works well on both mine & Mike B's cars.( VVTi singles) runs as smooth as a stock car. virtualy plug & play....not cheap though. Only problem is a shortage of good mappers over here John
  6. I think Robbie's problem was a plug tip failing.....took out a valve edge his engine has taken a shed load of abuse, plus Robbie regularly revved it to 9k.
  7. your fuel pressure is definitely low...I run at 2.7 bar. Thoroughly check your hoses & conections. I haven't heard of an aeromotive going wrong but there's allways a first time. also check the vac hose to the map sensor & AEM I would doubt that the map has changed but.. Can you check the map yourself? John
  8. Christian you spanner:D I meant are the af/r's consistently lean across the rev range or just at 5k. would give a clue as to what's going on. How are you mate? ( sorry for the hijack John)
  9. What are your af/r's up to 5k? as Jake said, dropping a pump wouldn't really affect your fuel pressure...... one can cope easily at your level, and it wouldn't happen only at 5k if they're o.k then it could be a duff vac hose conection loosing pressure to the fpr at those revs, OR it could be a glitch in your map....can you check the map? be very carefull
  10. Funny how people's opinions change, seeing that my car was voted club car two years running for Bolney..... I don't care what others think.....I still like it:p John
  11. When you get the technique right, you will pick up more strikes with a reactive 'curve' ball. The spin throws the pins around more. BUT.....you have more room for error & have to consider how well / little the lanes are maintained or oiled. Well oiled = more spin but less curve at the head. A dry lane will give very little spin, but the ball can hook very quickly in the head. Most bolwers keep a 'straight' ball for picking up spares / odd shots John Try bowling for 6 hrs straight.....liquid skin helps a lot:)

    Matt Harwood

Saw Matt today up at Mark's( phoenix) He seems much happier now:thumbs: Matt is doing the odd freelance bits & pieces but obviosly doesn't have a great deal of 'Free' time now.
  13. don't believe what the assessor tells you. When mine was hit by the taxi, I fought for & had 3 different assessments by different firms. My repair bill was over 9K. As has been said before, point the assessors to websites like Jugens', GT cars ( for prices )etc. PROVE you cannot get a replacement for 'Book' prices. IF you want to keep you car & have it repaired, you WILL have to fight for it John BTW liverpool victoria & Norwich union won't write off a car until it is over 85% of the value.........I Know from experience
  14. Not b****ks. New policy so I was told manager in their complaints dept. also confirmed the new policy. They are apparently going to confirm this in writing..... when they do, it goes off to watchdog at the bbc
  15. After the 4th time of trudging down to the local sorting office, I've found out that as 'policy', Royal mail no longer delivers packages or parcels to flats/ apartments. They just pop a card in your letterbox telling you to come & collect. The lazy sods don't even bring your package with them anymore, it's just left at the depot. You're paying them to go & collect it yourself!!! So if you live in a flat & ordering by mail, make sure you supplier does not use Royal mail ............Rant over John
  16. GVN are good, as an alternative Carl Bibby @ bibbys bodystyling...... but it's not cheap. An example of his work is the candy red chargespeed car at the santa pod day( see the pictures in the pod thread) John
  17. in my very recent experience, I have caught 2 totally independant estate agents out in a complete lie,.... maybe it does go with the teritory. When I chalenged them, they both just shrugged it off as meaningless. I obviously didn't do any business with them John
  18. well done Robbie, glad to help out John
  19. Having your own ball drilled to fit your hand will improve your game a lot. I've 2 fingertip reactive balls, it's great when you get the cruve just right. My best is 280 so far, just don't have as much time anymore. For people in the Dunstable area, there is a great bowling alley with a pro shop online run by a guy called Andy Penny http://www.ballmaster.co.uk/bios.cfm, gives very good advice John
  20. I know of at least a dozen people who have the wideband sensor within 1 ft of the turbo (singles). Never heard of any problems at all, mine has been that way for 2 1/2 years. Don't worry about it:thumbs: John
  21. Blended in 'may' look better, depends on your opinion, but without doubt, you bump or crack one & it'll cost a lot more to repair. Personally, I prefer the bolt on look of mine John
  22. somewhere central, like underneath the armrest / centre console
  23. had something similar when fitting my stainless dials, turns out after much fidling about I had pushed the needle on the spindle too hard. Try pulling it off & re-fitting John
  24. only one track ever brought a lump to my throat, Pink floyd, great gig in the sky, no words, just pure vocal emotion. John
  25. Me too , but with the overfenders is doesn't look THAT big, John
