This is the problem I have with all this. You can’t price your car high and then get out performed in every aspect by a much cheaper car

Not sure how I feel I think it all depends on price at this point. If it’s over £40k for the top spec then it really can’t be worth it

Yea but you know how it goes in this country, we end up paying the same as it costs it dollars! Conversion rate goes to the tax man. happened with the Mustang, I suspect it will happen with this too. If it was £40k for the top spec then I’ll be on the fence

I was never in the camp of using an old engine like the 2J. I was hoping for something modern like what Nissan developed. Lexus have plenty of engines they could have adapted to keep everyone happy

Because Lexus is Japanese and basically Toyota. The supra was the sister car to the soarer was it not? I’d rather that than the BMW. the reliability index is a good reason why

Why not? Nissan did it with the GTR. I would have been happy for the supra to have a V6 if it was a progressive engine design.

At the end of the day. I understand profit is important to companies. However, Toyota made nearly $23 BILLION last year in PROFIT.... How they couldn’t use a some of that to make thier own flagship sports car has no justification.

BMWs are overpriced. Same with all German cars, they aren’t worth what they ask but people pay for the badge. The new supra won’t be worth £50k. No one would pay that money for that level of performance

Apparently the head is going to be different to the bmw engine and the Toyota version has its own code (C I believe)
