    Cost?

    What do you mean by complete kit? Factor in fueling, ECU, intercooler and mapping and much more than just £700 for a tubbie and manifold (and oil lines if you are lucky). Also need to think about brakes, exhaust and sensors for the ECU or guages too. I think the only "cheap" way to do it is buying one already done.

  3. Depending on the condition of your SMIC it may make no difference at BPU but certainly shouldn't cause any problems before or after.

  11. Ah cool. For quick fitting take it to Darren at Whifbitz. Mine was done in an hour on the ramp with me holding bits for him whilst he did it!
  12. Hey Rick, What was wrong with a rubber grommet and a bit of silicone? Show us a picture. Be careful removing the hatch trim so as not to break any clips. Slowly but firmly is the way.
  13. The side mounts don't fit with spats or wide arch kits with spats. I don't have the side mounts on mine. Metal brackets hold it instead.

  15. Hi All, I have recently started to notice that my BPU is not feeling quick anymore and the power bug is starting to bite. I really fancy the idea of a V8 instead of a single. I know quite a few have gone down the 1UZ route to V8 power but fancy the extra power and torque 300bhp vs 250 and 325 torques vs 268. I think this may make a better starting point. As both engines were available in soarer and GS400/430 I am guessing the 3uz will drop straight in? Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

    Why is someone in an N/A even trying to compete in a traffic light grands prix......... I was surprised by a Golf GT the other week. He slotted in behind me as I passed him and I pulled a couple of car lengths before having to slow for a roundabout. Took it very easy round this and then nailed it. He came round the roundabout like a bat out of hell and stayed with me until I got into third, where upon he sank into the distance. It was a good effort from him though.

  20. What snap off boss do you have? On the Driftworks one it brings the wheel about 40mm nearer to you. You may be able to find std boss that is shorter than the one already fitted, I think JP had a shorter one on his car. Unless you get a weld on boss any removable ones I have seen would attach to your current boss and not replace it. Hope that helps
