  2. Thanks mate, appreciate that. Just tried to refit the oem airbox and i appear to have lost the bracket that bolts to the wing which forms the 3rd mount for the airbox. If any ones got one of these too Thanks

    HKS vs K&N

If you don't mind me asking, how is fuel consumption affected?
  5. Just paid for 2 tickets, please add me to the list, cheers
  6. I have a pair also, all bleed nipples working fine however the passenger rear was a bit sticky, presumably the slider
  7. Mine failed not long after buying the car, and after much hassle and inspection reports from the reconditioner, i got a £1000 back towards the rebuild costs. This was from the warranty people from when i bought the car though, glad i paid £250 for the extended warranty. About a year and a half later, one of them failed again. I phoned the garage who fitted/reconditioned them, and all they said was "without dismantaling the car/turbos ourselves we cannot tell you why its failed or whether we will repair it for free or charge you again". At £100 an hour this would have been another potentially costly repair. Rather than risk another shoddy job i took the turbos of myself and had them reconditioned again by a very well known and professional local company. Admittedly they said only 1 had a problem, which they could not find out why as the bearing was too small, but had no signs of wear. They said in 30 years of trading they had never seen a problem like it. Anyhow, they changed the bearings again, machined the insides and fitted slightly larger steel blades and only charged me about £600 inc VAT. That was 5 years ago and still going strong I dont know how the original company would have dealt with it but i just didnt fancy leaving the car with them again. AS for the local guys, cannot praise them enough and would recommend to anyone.

    Shelby stripes?

Saw a silver one with blue shelby stripes a while back, dont do it!!!!
  9. Thanks for that, looks pretty straight forward.
  10. Hi All, Could do with a bit of advice regarding changing my O2 sensor. When i first got my car it was a J spec TT auto, and used to return about 28 - 29 mpg, that was 7 years ago mind. Since then i have converted it to manual with a V160, and have a Super Dragger, 2nd decat and performance air filter. I tested it over a 1000 miles recently and am now getting only 23.5 mpg. Having read a lot on here about how O2 sensors are service items, and with my MOT coming up i thought i'd bite the bullet and buy a new one. I just back from my MOT man, and the emmisions test was passed with flying colours. The readings on the fast idle test were, 0.119% for CO, 26 for HC, 1.010 for Lambda and the natural idle CO was 0.125%. I am now wondering if i need to fit the new sensor as all the above tests were done with the old one in. The engine runs pretty sweet, however occaisionally it does tick over fast even when warm, and the revs dont drop very quickly between gear changes. Can anyone tell me whether i would benefit from changing it, or what could be causing the reduced mpg. The 23.5mpg was done on only normal driving with the occaisional blast, i can only imagine what i would get if i thrashed it all the time.
  11. Ive got these on mine and im not sure about them anymore!!
  12. Sadly i have the same limiter fitted to mine, so would have been the usual 2 mile overtake. I love my plate too, thanks for noticing
  13. No probs, just had a look in your garage. Looks even better close up, love the blue dash lights
  14. Was about the 2nd of March i think. Just caught a quick glimpse of a black Supra parked in Mallard Way, looked like trial rear, no spolier, 5 spoke Ferrari looking wheels and yellow brakes
  15. Was heading north on the M23 near to Crawley in the truck at about 1.30pm and was passed by S**PRA. Lovely white Supra, looked to be gleaming in the sunlight. Very clean and well kept by the looks of it. PS, hope you didn't get hit by that speed trap just further up the motorway:(
  16. One was in Oxford Road driving away from centre, Black with Gold Wheels and Red J spec calipers. The second was parked, cant remember where exactly but was silver with light blue shelby racing stripes
  17. I have a pair of these kicking around the garage somewhere as i upgraded to uk's last year. As far a remember they are ok but used. Im away for the weekend but can try to get a picture for you Sunday
  18. Im just converting the gf's from auto to manual at the moment and have the engine and box out. Its all pretty straight forward if you have right tools, an engine lift, small hands and plenty of patience
  19. Thanks mate, thats very kind of you. Its the weekend after next. I wont have the sup with me though, 3 up plus 2 seats plus luggage
  20. Do i get the feeling you dont want them anymore?
  21. Might have to be lunch, shes keen to get to Plymouth to see her grandson. Will have time for a couple of hours and put those leather seats in though
  22. Its Silver, bought it of the old man. 50,000 miles, hes had it since new, still almost mint, had 3/4 tank of fuel and 9 months tax. £500!!!! BARGAIN
  23. Was a daily driver for last 7 years, but now garaged and used for fun/weekends. Bought a Rover 416 as daily hack, wouldnt recommend it, boring as hell but you can leave it anywhere without worry
