  1. Please do, I'm not after a willy waving competition regarding knowledge, just interested to know what you have there.
  2. Sorry, but can't agree. VVTi GTE Supra to VVTi GTE Aristo maybe different plugs, but pre-VVTi they are identical. Pinouts are 99% identical and you can swap between Supra ECU and Aristo ECU, I know this, as I ran my first Aristo back in 2005 on a Supra ECU, I also run a garage specialising in Aristos. You must have got a loom confused somewhere along the line or they've had the plugs changed. Please post a pic if you can, as they are identical and would like to see what you have.
  3. No different for 4X4's.
  4. The guy wants a GS and has an Aristo to swap, not vice versa Bry RXV8, a guy on SingleTech is interested http://singletech.co.uk/index.php?topic=131.0 I can pass on any contact details if you like.

    tt engine

It's got the Supra water pump on it as has a 4 bolt fixing for the pulley, the Aristo one has just one centre fixing, it also has the Supra throttle body on it (denoted by the ETCS and not TRC as per the Aristo), along with the vacuum take off pipe, so I'd say it's came out of a Supra. HTH
  6. The ECU plug is identical, the Aristo has an extra plug on the engine loom for some of the body modules. On the 1991-1992 plenums, they had no hole for a vacuum take off, the later plenums had a blanking bolt in as they unified the plenums for the release of the Supra. The water pump doesn't have a PAS cooler run through it, it's a hydraulic cooling fan. Sorry, I'm nit picking How much would you like for the Aristo loom if it's not been tipped?
  7. That's the VVTi engine, totally different kettle of fish, as almost near as damn it, identical to each other, apart from sumps. And those pictures aren't the best
  8. A huge bar + large human = more torque than a lot of rattle guns Just give me a shout Craig, I can always stick my Toyota SST in the post for the odd times you'll need one.
  9. That year the were just Ford badged Mazdas, although the later Ford ones, are still not much better lol
  10. You'll need your settings from your web hosts that host your website Pete, as you use [email protected] Can't see it being a Virgin problem, but more Outlook settings etc
  11. You'll either get a good one, or a very bad one. I'd look elsewhere personally. 6+ years in Roadside Assistance, my job sheets were always full of French motors!
  12. Buy yourself a jump pack, or Breakdown cover, using jump leads on a modern day car is a big no no.
  13. It's only a car, it can be replaced Look on the government sites for working tax credits, child tax credits etc Good luck on the job front.
  14. Don't panic, just get it drained and then refill, and you'll probably find you've done no damage.

    insurance

It's a motortrade policy, they normal blanket cover anything up to 3.5t including recovery vehicles as long as it cannot carry more than two vehicles. OP - if it's not in your policy, I can't see how they can enforce it.
  16. Good price = cheap price? If you're after any old discs and pads, you're local motor factors will be able to supply. Ignore me if you're after Genuine parts. Your local Toyota will probably be cheapest rather than mail order from another Toyota parts dealer.
  17. Iphone 4, on 4.1 Hour late this morning
  18. It's hard enough for us biological dads to get to see our children when the mums don't want us to, let alone when someone isn't biologically related. To the op, really sorry to here this. All the best for the future.
  19. If it's a TT, it's about a 15-20 hour job, plus parts. 15 X £90 = £1350 in labour alone So £900 at Toyota is a very good price.
  20. PM me your addy as pretty sure I've got some vac pipes about to be chucked out. They'll be off an Aristo, but I'm pretty sure they're the same (you'd need to check to be 100%)
  21. TT or N/A? That's a very good price* from Toyota if it's a TT. *Considering they charge about £90 an hour these days.
  22. They're all my personal cars, registered in my name. Yes, I have a business account, yes I am a self employed mechanic. I thought we were allowed to sell personal items on here?
  23. Easier to eBay link. Thanks for looking.
