  1. Do you not have emergency NHS centers near you? Thought they were quite the norm these days?
  2. You would still have to pay the VAT even if you were VAT registered, as you 'claim' it back. I'm a VAT registered Sole Trader, I'm under the VAT threshold but chose to go VAT registered due to the line of work I'm in, as it helps with tool purchases etc.

Can't beat a good old 3.5 year thread resurrection!
  4. The gearbox is controlled by the main ECU, so you will need a VVTi loom and VVTi ECU
  5. You'll need the ECU from the Aristo aswell. Non VVTi supra loom will be useless.
  6. Lambda/Lambada: one's an engine a sensor, the other, a Brazilian dance Can you hear the exhaust blowing from the sensor hole?
  7. BHG is quite common on the Avensis diesel. I'd look at the VAG group of cars or dare I say it a BMW.
  8. £75 IIRC Remove the engine cover,. about 6" away from the top right hand of the engine, held on with 3 bolts and has one electrical contact. Take a pic with the engine cover off and someone will point it out if you're stuck
  9. I think the spark plugs were a false diagnosis, although they might have needed doing if it's not serviced regular. They also don't show up in any live data readings. EGR valve is where my money is at.
  10. Hi folks, wondering if any of you could help? I have a Jag S Type 3L V6, 2001 on a Y. Only had it a couple of days and the MIL has come on, and gives a code of 1380 which relates to the VVT solenoid valve. Having done some googling and looking on the Jag club, it seems to be more of a wiring issues than a actual part fault. Has anyone come across this before and could shed some light on the issue before I spend plenty of time taking the awful intake off. TIA
  11. Seconded, then buy some 6 point sockets for the set as the Halfords multi points will give your rusty jap nuts a hard time.
  12. EGR Valve on them give similar symptoms, my neighbour's had 2 fitted in the same amount of years.
  13. They come with pillow balls out the box? just the Supra model doesn't have upper mount camber adjustment to my knowledge.
  14. BC are getting very popular in the UK, and at £550 bit of a bargain as well.
  15. There's a law that says if you sell more than 10 cars in a year you need traders insurance? and that you don't need to declare income from another job?
  16. The motor trade is pretty dead at the moment as people aren't servicing really, just fixing. Not the best of trades in a recession.
  17. What about an Aristo? can get the MK2 for about £4k if not less these days, and you'll get the 2JZ-GTE you've always wanted
  18. Want me to keep an eye out for an Aristo lump Rob? they're normally cheaper the the Supra one. Infact one went the other day for £250, but the seller didn't know what he had
  19. Damn, my stalking days are over Just make sure you've done your homework if you go the breaking route. You don't want to be left short of the money you need and with a load of useless/unsellable parts left over.
  20. Thought you were using Damo? I offered him a TT lump (Aristo) a month or so ago but said he didn't know anyone looking?
  21. The retaining cap isn't on properly, or the pin has broke.
  22. And have it signed by people who would never consider buying new turbos from Toyota?
  23. Barry Kemp, round the corner from Rob Bois mate in Chesterton, although not that cheap, but he'll be cheaper than Gladwins, and he's insurance approved.
  24. That seller is an ex member on here I believe, Maz, can't remember his username, something like ak47 or something IIRC, he's on the Aristo forum.
  25. What difference is there on the crank pulley that's going to make it fail? Edit - I didn't see the OPs edit of wanting an 'uprated one'
