  1. I brought my Nephew a 1L 2002 Suzuki Swift, cheap as chips to buy, reliable and easy to work on. Cheaper to insure than the normal corsas etc but he's still got to pay in the region of £2k

    Specsavers ad

It's a MK2 Aristo with non OEM lights by the looks of things http://www.campaignlive.co.uk/news/bulletin/thefix/article/1074263/?DCMP=EMC-CONCampaignDailyFix
  3. Is using jubilee clips wrong? I never manage to get these metal cable ties tight enough lol
  4. Damn too late, got a couple of discs here lying around.
  5. Steves is an XS Power T70 turbo, he's got 650cc injectors and just wants it mapped up the the capability of the injectors for now.
  6. Are you still running the stock O2 sensor along with a wideband? Agree with Ricky, sounds as though they're fighting each other. I recently fitted one on an Aristo, running fine, but we just used the AEM wideband and done away with the stock O2 sensor.
  7. What do the people that mapped it say?
  8. It's as speacial as you It's 3 gears and an overdrive to be pedantic. It's not until a few years ago that cars with auto boxes had more than 4 gears (generally speaking)
  9. Just looked at the Blueprint catalogue, Camskill do a Blueprint one for £213.40 plus del http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m30b0s2955p42227 Guaranteed quality, and all their parts come with 2 year warranty now. (it's for a manual)
  10. That's gone over my head, but never mind
  11. My bad, I thought all 2JZ-GE's were MAF equipped.
  12. Code 31 indicates a fault with the MAF
  13. Could also be ATF if it's fresh, as it runs through the radiator for cooling. But does sound more like For Life coolant. Shouldn't be the expansion bottle unless the coolant was overfilled.
  14. The Supra doesn't have wind in pistons on the rear, for the handbrake it use a drum and shoe arrangement. If you've never changed brake pads before, I'd highly advise to get someone to walk you through it, rather than reading up on the internet.

    Mkiii engine?

I imagine the parts cost difference would be negligible and depending on power, the 7M would need strengthening long before the 2JZ
  16. All depends on year, if they can find the exact model in the database, the MOT tester etc Maybe if they were pre-2001, but anything later will need it's cat to pass.
  17. I think Chris Wilson also does these pads.
  18. I use http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk since Parcel2go's diabolical customer service during the snow earlier in the year. You book a delivery, they collect from your door and deliver, same as parcel to go, but cheapest parcel is £4.85 + VAT via City Link (one of the companies they use) so dearer for a book than RM. Do you not need signed for delivery if selling? incase of a dispute or anything? You can see on the RM website how much parcels will cost and your options http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/PriceFinder?catId=23500532&gear=pricingcalc&campaignid=pricefinder_redirect
  19. So because it was £25 (BTW there is no minimum amount they can charge) you're saying it wasn't done properly and was dodgy? Spare tyre condition isn't checked, cracks/splits etc on the 4 main wheels, have to be a certain size/depth
  20. Cheers, just added 4 months, but it won't let me do anymore at the moment.
  21. What serious faults did they miss? how are they "dodgy"? It would say to me they've been very thorough by picking up the small advisories, they can't fail it on items that the law doesn't allow them to. As you'd be blaming them of being dodgy just to get more money.
  22. Fully working? Complete with the leads and power pack? Any idea how old? £40 + p&p
  23. You don't need it to be certified, although your insurance company may require it to be (it has to be declared to the insurance company) You don't touch the original fuel lines, so with the knowledge you've shown, I'd say get it fitted properly.
