You car was very reasonably priced I felt, and even with the accident repair it was still a very good price for a potential buyer.

NA-TT are also harder to value IMHO, things such as service history from the previous engine, history of the transplanted engine, servicing and maintainable since the conversion should all be recorded or factored in when valuing the car. I genuinely don't believe in the years to follow that converted cars will continue to command the same price as non converted cars, although they won't be lagging too far behind with the correct paper work, and perhaps diff upgrade etc. I sold a TT-Auto recently, it was owned by myself for the last decade and the mileage was genuinely low and documented throughout. I sold it for £8k+ and was satisfied with the sale as I held out for a genuinely enthusiastic buyer. I guess the situation of a seller comes into pricing also, I was in no real rush (although the wife will say different) and managed to get the price I wanted. I realise that this is not always the case with other sales, so prices can vary great due to this factor.
  3. I managed to get a response on my TT-Auto Mines, took a few weeks to receive a response.
  4. Okay that makes 4 of us in Supra's and one CTR. I shall also be camping. 1) MarcusGTE 2) Westcoaster 3) Heedthebaw 4) SPG 5) Supraman
  5. Glad you have her running well Niall, looking great also
  6. Looks like a totally different car DB, very nicely done bud . I am definitely feeling the ears on this one
  7. Congrats Dean, I give you till the next dragonball to have this Single
  8. I stand corrected , I was going on the info supplied to me by the accident repair company I am using.
  9. VIC checks are carried out on Cat C vehicles, this is to check that they have been repaired to a satisfactory and safe standard in order to be classed as road worthy once more. Log books are usually re-issued once the car has been through and passed the VIC. The fact that this chap has it untaxed and not MOT'd might be down to the fact that he has not had the VIC check carried out. I don't think it would be over presumptuous to assume that the seller had no intentions of mentioning the damage or the Cat C rating on the car, which would have been at the peril of the unfortunate purchaser. I would certainly steer clear of this myself, although someone might want to buy this on the cheap and have the VIC carried out. I am in the position where I have been collecting parts together in order to bring a Cat C vehicle back to life, and shall be having an approved body-shop repair and VIC the car in order to get her back on the road and taxed.
  10. Scotland sucks for this sorta thing, well if you want it done correctly.
  11. hopefully most on here carry out a HPI chack before purchasing, If not, then this should be a good example of why they should. Cat C's need a VIC check to get them back on the road/log book back from the DVLA, so I'm not sure what has happened here?
  12. get some riser blocks made for your stock spoiler , BGW if you are going to make "real" use of it.
  13. Are the bulbs not slightly different?

Is this being removed from your own Supra? If so then you can lift the hood and check the tras/axel code, this will give you the differential code. The diff code should be: A0?A if it is the open differential, and A0?B if it is the LSD. Hope this helps
  15. Thanks Jamie, I was hoping that would be the case
  16. Excellent, cheers chaps . Any holidays planned Al
  17. Okay so that a bit of reassurance then, I will have to try and find a decent place to do the work. I think me apprehension lies with the fact that I have never had the arches rolled on any of my vehicles. Are most people with larger wheels able to retain the arch lining also?
  18. Hi Chaps, I am wondering if getting my arches rolled is this going to damage my cars future value? I am currently looking to track down some nice new wheels, but the majority require the arches to be rolled. What do you guys reckon?
  19. What does the underside of your Sup currently look like, out of curiosity? You can cover the large areas of the underside with a brush and some underseal, but to do the job correctly and to get into the box sections and hard to reach areas, you ideally need a wand attachment. Also have a read online at the different treatment techniques and products which you can use to treat the underside before the underseal is applied, as otherwise you are merely locking in the rust, which will no doubt lead to more serious corrosion.
  20. Did you guys hit 100 this time round? looked like a great event, like last year
