  1. Looks like my marker is getting some more action
  2. Next job was removing the Pre-facelifts and installing the newly purchased Facelift lights. Cataracts out: Ready for new eyes: And unfortunately that's all we have time for folks, well until Sundays Show
  3. Next up, I moved onto the strut brace. Old brace: 14mm on a ratchet to take the strut bolts off: And off it came. Notice the VVTi badge has left its mark , and this pic was taken before securing the scuttle down correctly. A little bit of re-positioning, and the Carbing went on . Not the best pics to show the Brake Master support, but it fits nice and tight. Next up, I moved on to the Cusco rear brace. Carpet was lifted up and backwards, to expose the interior trim/turret covers. The existing covers are a little, well, POOP! So, I have ordered new items from Mr T. Bolts exposed: 12mm if I remember correctly. Bolts removed and brace offered up. So at this point, I needed to separate the centre section of the brace and leave the strut mounts attached. The centre section was removed so that I could work out where I had to cut the carpet, in order for the centre section to poke through, instead of it being covered by the carpet. So I made two incisions with a stanley blade, vertical slips running along the knuckle of the mount. I then fed the centre bar back through the slits and tightened it all back up, here are the results: Some of you may notice the white under section of the carpet, I certainly did, so with the help of my black marker pen, I coloured the slips in. Much better
  4. Okay, so after a quick clean up I decided to offer up the new Scuttle: The scuttle is secure, but requires a small trim with a dremel near the off side hinge, as its just sitting ever so slightly proud on that side. Dr Stewart is going to be looking at it tomorrow, so it should be snug by tomorrow night
  5. Cheers Clay Thanks buddy, they are a lovely impact item, no more functional then the original, but look cool Cheers Mike, still to post the rest of the pics from yesterday
  6. Okay so I had a little time with the Sup yesterday, so I decided to tackle a few jobs: First things was the CF Scuttle Panel: 5 screws removed from scuttle using a Phillips screwdriver: Next came off the wiper bolt covers and then using a 12mm socket on a ratchet, the wiper arms were off. Remember to mark the wiper arm positions, as it saves fiddling later on Next up, I used long nosed pliers to remove the weather strip and the black plastic clips holding the scuttle down: On either side of the scuttle, there are christmas tree fixings which needed removing: Weather strip The Scuttle should now come out easily, like so: "What Lies Beneath". Not a pretty sight under the scuttle, so I decided to clean it with some APC. Before APC, and application: After:
  7. Welcome to the club buddy, nice to see another Quicksilver on the forums. I have tidied the thread up a little
  8. Might be best checking your receipts to see if the water pump has been changed at any point also, if not then have a little think whilst the belt gets done buddy. Have a little check over of the Crank pulley also and the front crank seal also .
  9. The CCW's work wonders on your car Luc, you must be over the moon
  10. Yeah Darren, all here and present. Thanks
  11. I now have the club Flags, Bunting and Banners

  13. Looking forward to the updates buddy, the stock front will do wonders
  14. Cheers Will, the Carbing was purchased from Pudsey via the forums, and the rear Cusco was purchased from Whifbitz Placed a few items on order with Mr T, nothing too exciting. Updates to follow on arrival.
  15. you missed the VVTi spark plug cover. Black bag is for the Christmas lights
  16. Sending my spare UK rear bumper off to be colour coded correctly with the car, I really don't like the J-spec numberplate opening, should show the plate off a little also . Thanks to Keron for supplying the bumper. Work starts tomorrow, going to start fitting some of these parts in prep for the SCS.

  18. What's happened Matt, such a shame after all that effort you out in.
  19. I wish Mark , I have just always been wow'd at their end product. I was also considering Edge Automotive (I can't remember if that is the correct name), the chaps that did Ibrar's Sup
  20. Okay so the car was stored by the previous owner (really nice chap), and over time the water channels in the boot were gunk'd, so I set about removing the rear lights: Sorry if this is putting anyone off their breakfast . After some APC and some agitation, the channels looked like this: Flow restored After this my Wife pulled me away from the car, she said that our new neighbors would think I was sad, taking pictures of the car in stages . Soooooooooo I continued anyway . More areas to clean: Engine bay after a mini clean before Driftlands, notice the VVTi badge , the badge has since found its way onto my lawnmower.
  21. Rain or shine, this colour seems to have the ability to make me smile. Thanks Drew, just gotta put them on now Thanks Dane, much appreciated mate . As for the TRD wheel, I totally understand your concern bud, but I am going to be using a very special company here in Scotland called Transcal. They also re-trimmed MarcAB10's red interior. So the wheel and my seats will be in good hands . http://www.transcal.co.uk/
  22. Great effort, should be lovely once you are finished
