    Hello... New French

welcome, I love the car, looks great in white hope you enjoy your time with it
  4. nice pictures and selection of cars
  5. Is anyone going to send the seller an email stating that it'll cost a lot to put that interior right? IMO that car just looks like a complete shed, IMO he should drop the price by 50% if he wants to sell it. Who the hell is going to buy that over many Supras on offer at around £3K-3.5K that are far better than that!

    Hi Im new

Welcome to the forum. Sounds more like a boy racer or show car with the kit and 20" rims! As for the carpet mats try some of the members that are breaking Supra's on the forum. I know they are available but you'll just ahve to ask around for them or post an advert in the wanted section.
  7. what size were they, those styles are usually for the 4x4 market. Still looking daft though.
  8. That wasn't my first option, first option was a hardware kit or one could remove the brakes and apply copper grease and see how it goes. I made the assumption that if the brakes are squealing its probably more than likelt they'll need replacing for one reason or another, so rather than faff about, just replace them.
  9. 1. £37,500 for the TT model (stated in the top gear supra review video on the club video section). 2. dunno 3. If your brakes are squealing, at best you can try a hardware kit for them but really you probably had new pads put on old discs at some point causing the squeal. Whilst its the most expensive option, replace the discs and pads.
  10. Seen this posted before some months ago, IIRC the car was advertised for sale at that time too, exact same interior and battered door speaker. I agree the whole thing looks beyond nasty! In teh picture the glove box is most obvious bit of the shoddy work but the rest of its supposed to be saggy as well from the closer up photos we saw last time.
  11. Wow, that was a good read and its shocking to see a burglar actually get 4 years inside for that. As mentioned above its nice to see that the defendant wasn't prosecuted as well which makes a nice change. This is the first article where the crime and sentances seem to go hand in hand as well as the Judge having a typical common sense view..... idiot broke in, got smacked, its what he deserved, now shut up and get get behind some bars for 4 years. If only this was practiced throughout the country perhaps some court hearing times would reduce and many crims get what they deserve.
  12. car looks good and i like the colour.
  13. Can anyone tell me, what the OE Toyota specification is for the freeplay on the accelerator cable? The garage that did my coils etc did me a favour by tightening up my accelerator cable. Whilst every minute movement/pressure makes a difference and its extremely sharp, now the car more often than not accelerates in the gear its in rather than kicking down. Also it seems to hold its revs for longer before changing up. Its only when i just fractionally reduce the pedal pressure does it instantly change up a gear. Having driven it like thsi for a couple of days, it definately feels to me like the cable needs slackening off a bit. I'm going back in a couple of days as they've said bring it in and they'll sort it, but i'd like to know what the OE free-play should be so they can adjust it to that.
  14. Personally the usual OEM style Silver IMO, you can never go wrong with that.
  15. what he said! Fwiw we had a colleagues 50th 2 months ago, arranged a booking in a club! had a huge turn out etc and it was a great night
  16. KEI are Japanese made but not seriously expensive either like many think. They are supposed to be lighter and better quality than the usual aftermarket wheels commonly retailed but they are not as good as the likes of Advan etc which are amongst the top of the Japanese wheel manufacturers and cost a lot. I was looking at the Mania/TeamDynamics Jade R myself as they look great but due to their quality issues I'll be going for something else.
  17. As an alternative,w hat about these, the KEI Kruze? http://www.keiracing.com/wheels_kruze.html http://www.keiracing.com/images/big_wheel_kruzesilver.jpg We've fitted these to some Honda's and Subarus without any quality issues, but the owners do tend to keep the cars in question very clean using the usual main branded products. To clear UK brakes you will need 17" wheels at the least but i suspect you will be going down the 18" route.
  18. punch your price into autotrader, select any make, any model, click search, view the results and then take your pick
  19. Choc Ice & FEAST http://www.virginmedia.com/images/choc_ice430x300.jpg http://www.iceshop.co.uk/img/products/large_feast.jpg More often than not its mixed fruits that are chilled. Grapes, strawberries, mango, melon, kiwi, pinapple etc. I usually get lots of this, cut/chop as required, chill it again and then serve.
  20. As mentioned Around £7.5/8K provided the service history is bang on and the cars in good order throughout.

    I'm in shock!

The only way they can possibly value the cars is based on the original details (make/model/year etc), current stated mileage and owners declaration of condition. This is then linked to a 'trade' book value (even for older cars) and then the price is further reduced by the company in question. Obviously paying for TV commercials is not cheap so they must be making money but i can only assume they are getting old wrecks and scrap cars that people have lying around and just can't be bothered to either scrap themselves or get a company to remove them.
  23. they are fitting for the car and seem to suit it but personally i would have gone for a more glossy finish.
  24. welcome when you do your single conversion feel free to report you project in the project forum
