I wish I could spare the money and throw that engine into a posh go-kart lol
-
Wow, I can only imagine what that must be like and you seem to have invested a lot into your car as well..... fair play to you fella, hope it keeps you smiling
-
That looks like something Leepu at the ChopShop London would do if he got his hands on a Surpa.

Persoanlly I have visited a few import places and found their cars to be below par and personally I would never present my car were it for sale the way some do (Jap Performance, WRC etc). However, there are several forum members that highly rate Jurgen @ JM Imports (see the traders section), where by they have been very happy with the service and quality of the cars. I'd personally contact Jurgen, have a word and take it from there.

To be honest as mentioned, a professional wheel alignment is essential. Ideally the alignment should be checked at least every 6 months (I always have my cars checked every 4 months) provided all is still well, this is ensure more even wear and extract the maximum miles out of your tyres.

I saw about 4 on the day I picked mine up from Aberdeen, but I was in Aberdeen all day. Other than this I never see any about about, in the last 5 months I have only ever seen 1 ugly modified N/A. Someone said that they are more common around the coastal regions of the country and combined with the fact that more of them are probably used as weekend cherised items makes them even more scarce.

Agree with tehcomments thus far, one hell of fully b@stardised car with all that tat on it and the price!!! as Gordon Ramsey would say, "F*ck Me". There are some truly stunning Supra's for that price, IIRC there's a nice black UK TT BPU for about £9K from a club member!

Used to see the odd one of them running about from time to time but not seen any of those for several years now. Congrats on the purchase, it definately looks very clean and tidy.

Its looks means and clean without the spolier, I'd say stay spoilerless
-
I'd say leave it as it is, looks nice as is

they are available from Toyota http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_E_1995_TOYOTA_SUPRA_JZA80R-ALPVZW_7501.html

On BlueAngles car they looked Purple rather than the pink in the picture. As for colour I can't really give a damn about that, but just don't want to take a step backwards braking wise by paying good money for a poor product. If they are camp then there's no point in buying them, but if they are genuinely a step forwards then its worth considering for the price. I'm using http://www.bigbrakes4u.co.uk/ to look and these guys are 10 minutes away from me. Worst case scenario is I'll just replace with OE discs and pads and then get the AP Racing set up next year after I go BPU.

Would probably explain why they are half the price of the 6 pot Brembo & Ap units then. Thanks.

I have done a search but nothing came up in the threads about D2. In October I will be replacing my brakes as the rears are squealing, don't know why as everthing looks like its in order and one front disc is warped. The OE brakes are great, I have no issues with but would like to enhance the asthetics at the same time if its feasible. Whilst having a look around BlueAngels car, I noticed he had this D2 set up on the front. http://www.bigbrakes4u.co.uk/racing-sports-systems-p-434.html http://www.bigbrakes4u.co.uk/gfx/BigBrakes4U/D2/D2m.jpg I didn't get a chance to ask him about them so was wandering if anyone has any experience with this brand as I have never heard of the D2 brand before. Are they a 'quality' brand, are the products 'good', reliable and durable etc?

Strangely everytime the Supra pulls into the Petrol stations, people of all ages just stare at it... When I'm out washing it etc, where I live, its mainly the late 30's, middle aged and recently retired folks in the neighbourhood. I get an astonashing number of older men and women just stop and say nice car, what is it? Looks very nice and agressive, never seen one of those before etc etc.

To be honest we have a carbon black M5 within the family circle and IMO its over rated but the name 'carbon black' sounds good to many people. Personally for the Supra I think a gleaming black would be best, may be worth just driving past a few showrooms and searching the net for pictures of black cars, when you see a black you like get the paint code for it and give it to the body shop. I had a black 53' Jaguar XKR. Not sure what the exact name of the black was (ebony black?) but once polished up it looked stunning. May be worth taking a trip to a Mercedes, Audi, Jaguar and Aston Martin and Ferrari dealership to see what black's they have. Here's a picture of my recently cleaned standard 202 Black Supra.

To be honest due to the extra costs in Ireland that you are facing, I'd only use the Supra as a weekend treat. However, here England, I bought the Supra with the intention of using it every other day, but as its quite special (IMO anyway) I refuse to just leave it parked up anywhere only to come back to find scratches, dent, finger prints etc. As a result I just use it for motorway journeys and aimlessly driving around just to give it a run I try to split the use of the Supra between my C70. As for a daily driver I have a BMW 328i which is OK, cheap enough to run and maintain and a doddle to park.

I saw one being driven by a tw@t in Notting Hill, he forced me into oncomming traffic (otherwise my volvo would have crushed him), darting about carving up other motorists unit he was out of site. About 8 minutes later. I saw him up ahead on the left, he'd gone into the back of an Audi A3/A4.... There was nothing left frankly of the G-wiz and his wife/g/f seems rather annoyed at having to spend the rest of her evening at the roadside. Definately not a safe car by any means.

There are a lot of variables, road surfaces can be greasy in parts which car drivers don't tend to be able to spot in general, but if you ride a bike you'll be fully aware to specifically looking out for these patches. Also a 'quality' set of tyres is a must on any car, especially a high performance car.

Made me laugh, James waited until the last car went through.... but that was probably known as you alwys have a catalogue listing to hand. Also when in Spain the blonde model... says something like 'why don't they speak english'.... to which James May replies 'were in Spain '

Thats sitting beautifully!! Mind if I ask what the drop on the Eibachs was front and rear?
