    de cat advice

Ordered form them before, you'll be happy with the service and price IMO.
  2. Thanks for the offer but trouble is I really need the car back on the road asap and as it has 140K on the clock I thought its best to just get new ones either way. As a result I will now have all the 5 remaining coil packs and connectors which are outstanding. Hopefully this may be of use to fellow members. I'll keep hold on my functioning coils and list them should anyone who is hands on require some for testing etc - great idea.
  3. Paul, sent you an email to the address shown your website to confirm an order for the remaining coil packs I need and an extra connector just inacse one gets broken along the way. Thanks!
  4. No worries Paul. I have already paid Toyota for the coils as they required payment upon order even though the parts are not in stock and need to be ordered. I'll be in touch soon enough though for some goodies.

    De-Lipped

    Much cleaner without the lip!

    its painted

Not a fan of the kit bu that seems to have come up nicely. Looks like just the rest of the body needs a good wash and polish up and then it'll look bang on.
  7. WRC! They don't have a good reputation and I beleive that they are linked very closely with Keighly Trade performance and Jap Performance UK. Any vehicles from here are probably best avoided. Advert seems poor as mentioned, only stating the cars plus points but nothing about history, UK conversion etc so I'd be expecting that the car will cost far in excess of the asking price.
  8. The Honda Accords are extremely good robust cars, provided its got a good if not full service history and it sounds and drives well, its certainly worth having, but check their going rates on Autotarder to ensure you don't get conned or end up paying too much either way even though its a swap.
  9. I have some new coil pack connector clips left as I got several of these from Whifbitz along with the coil the other month. I replaced the coil pack connector clip and coil on the same cylinder as the damaged connect clip was on the faulty coil. We changed the clip first, made no difference and then replaced the coil, after which all was well. I now have 5 coils and 5 coil pack connector clips left to do. When I get the next 3 coils, I will do the connector clips for those three at the same time as the coils. Thanks for confirming that the spark plugs should be fine!
  10. To be honest, I think this is a direct result of the max muppet crew who drive around at all hours with the boom boxes blaring and exhaust so loud f*ck knows where they buy them or how they make them. Its these idiots that annoy our neighbourhood along with their mates on 2 smoke scooters with sports exhausts really taking the piss. Normal drivers with Subaru's etc are no bother, whilst you can hear the cars they are not being revved up or anti social. I can honestly see Supra's, Subaru's, Evo's getting targets the same as the muppets in shopping trolleys, at the end of the day, every ticket a copper can dish out looks good for them. This has been rumoured for years but looks like its starting to come into force slowly.
  11. Well just as the Supra was running all nice and well, drove it once last weekend, parked it up, washed it yesterday evening, thought I'd nip out and get some snap shots of it today in the sun and whilst its warming up I hear the misfire pops through the exhaust Phoned Whifbitz several times but no answer. They supplied my previous coil with no issues and good service. I tried Envy, they had no stock aso askedd them to give me an exact date as to when they would get the coils in, no reply.... So phoned a few Toyota dealers, local and near by. In the end my local dealer gave me £10% off on the coils can get me 3 by either Saturday or Tuesday, so ordered those, which should get me back on the road and then order the remaining 2 coils to make up 6 in total for next month in line with my cheque. Lastly, SPARRK PLUG related. Shortly before the first coil pack started breaking down the otehr month, I replaced the spark plugs with NGK iridium BKR6EIX-11. Due to the car being started for engine diagnostics with the misfire, could the spark plugs have become damaged and require replacing again? (Its the first time on any car I have experinced what I belive to be another ignition coil start to break down so quickly after the first one).
  12. I agree, but I'd say side skirts, ideally OEM make the sides spot on and possibly rear spats but thats it IMO.
  13. that lip at the bottom of the bumper doesn't even look like it supposed to be part of the design of the kit, kist like some muppets bolted any ol' plastic on. I say remove it and stick it on ebay as sure enough there are enough folks out there with bad taste
  14. not sure what all the fuss is about low mileage, a lot of import cars with circa 50-60,000miles were a bag of nails compared to the 140,000mile car I bought, albeit its a credit to the owner who was loaded (lambo & GTR as well) and used the car for some european trips hence the mileage. But g/box oil fresh, only every been serviced/maintained at Toyota from new with only 2 owners, put new michelin sports on all round for me and a mini service + coolant change and fresh mot @ Toyota on day of collection. The service history file is extensive, all Toyota mini folders each containing the itemised bills/invoices etc to support the FTSH..... Even the suspension and bushes are in perfect shape! This is better than a 15,000 mile BMW approved M5 I bought years back. I can't imagine me ever selling my Supra but I'd hate to think someone would pass this due to miles. I am saving up an going to look at a trio to Italy in mine.

    hi to all

Hi and wleocme, the project sounds good and hope it all goes well, be sure to keep us posted with the progress.
  16. IMO, the 400bhp will be harder work, i.e more revs needed. Whilst I can appreciate the need for hybrid orientated sports cars and the Toyota concept most definately will probably be about the best in this sector, IMO its strayed from the 'supra's' roots. Ideally it needs to have a couple of couple of turbos for the consistent and effortless power across the rev range. Ideally at least 476bhp like the new GTR. Also they need to take a trip down memory lane, see how far advanced and ahead of its time the Supra was with all its clever styling, breath taking brakes that OE, g sensors etc. The GTR and 911 Turbo are just shy of 500bhp, so ideally the Supra needs to be there abouts too with a few good lashings of technology from Toyota's science type bods in white coats. The Supra should always be the 'balls out' flasg ship.
  17. To be honest, I always leave it up unless I am on country lanes etc.
  18. On the motorway drive on the weekend, I noticed an issue with my front active spoiler. It seems to be functioning fine at the relevant speeds to go up/down, but, I usually leave it off (up) all the time. At higher motorway speeds even, I repeatedly pressed the 'auto off' button, but according to the spoiler lights, it was staying down, only going up/down according to the speed as per the instruction manual when its in the auto on position. The only thing that has been done since I noticed the active spoiler doing this is a replacement new battery. Does anyone know what I can do to test or fix the spoiler so that it goes up when I press auto off?
  19. Had teh same thing happen on my Volvo T5 but that wouldn't rev past 4,000rpm. After much intensive diagnostics etc, it turned out to be a £38 part, Control Boost Valve/Boost Control Solenoid (which ever you prefer to call it). This clips to the side of the air box on the volvo, not sure where it is located in the Supra.

    Howdy

car looks straight and clean, hope you enjoy the summer
  21. DSK

    I'm new

I have to admit the TRD spoilers look quite unique but other than that the modified kits IMO don't look as good as a genuine unmolested Supra.
  22. Hi and welcome to the forum. R1's are nice bikes and you have decent roads there to use them so enjoy the bike. There's a few TT UK supra's in our classifieds section at the moment
  23. Thats a rotten bit of luck! I can vouch for bad luck in 3's. Had a mifire on the supra, a nail in the bmw's tyre and then a nail in the Supra's tyre Hope you get the vehicles back on the road without much hassle.
