  1. wow, I'd never dream of being able to do the work fellow members do, but its certainly looks like a good job is being done and credit to cas for the time and effort he's putting in.
  2. thats really put a smile on my face, excellent start to my morning.
  3. As I am in a position where I can still wait if need be, I would like a Supra TT, ideally UK spec and standard external body work (although I can appreciate that people fit alloys & exhausts which I'd be able to change back to normal). If anyone has one for sale or knows of one, can they please let me know, thanks.
  4. I have sold my BMW to an owner of a local shop that I frequently use and have decided to return to Toyota, so by the end of April 2009 I'll be getting very desperate for a Supra TT. Just wish I have some stroke of luck.
  5. I had arranged to go to view and buy this vehicle, but on the very morning I was due to set off, the seller contacted me to state another person who expressed an interest and didn't show was back in touch and she's allowing him view first. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/958798.htm This very car was on sale on Piston Heads with the number plate M10MMS and sold for exactly £4700 (I still have all the emails and clearly recall all the telephone conversations that I had with the original seller). As soon as I saw this car, the number plate stood out as the seller gave me the newly reverted N reg plate number to carry out a HPI check. The car was also fully original without the decat and nasty alloy wheels that are now fitted. This vehicle sold on Piston Heads about 2 weeks ago for £4700. It pains me as I genuinely have cash waiting for a straight genuine car as an enthusiast but everyone I phone up about about I am either too late or get the viewing cancelled.
  6. A bit different, but i own and ride supersport bikes, have onwed Jag XKR 4.2, BMw M5 etc. The suprise speed machines for me are; Volvo C70 (even S70 if you need 4 doors) T5's, ideally with the 240bhp engines. Also there is SAAB 95 2.3 Hot Aeros.... Your budget will get a relatively newish/modern car with FSH and sensible miles with ease. They are super cruisers, with masses of effortless grunt and great fuel economy but soft in the handling department, non the less, I love my C70 T5 to bits.
  7. for what its worth, try doing a search on your tube, quite a few supra's been video'd with various exhausts fitted..... just may help to some extent.
  8. Those seats seem to compliment the cars interior, look very nice and purposeful.
  9. Just a question, that diffuser thing at the back of the car, where did you source that from and was it easy enough to fit? also does it have any performance advantages like a genuine diffuser or is it just for show? Just trying to learn about such modifications on these cars.
  10. Looks superb!! I love the colour.
  11. Will let you know how I get on with the viewing next week.
  12. Just had a look at those side skirts in the listing. If I buy the car next week, I'll have them off you, they look in reasonable condition, the TRD decals are a nice touch.
  13. Thanks for the info! OEM .... wow, probably why they look so good. As for the ones for sale, I will be in touch provided I proceed with the purchase after viewing.
  14. Hi folks. Signed up and introduced myself several weeks back on this forum. Seen a Supra TT that I am hoping all turns out ok and I buy next week. Its a standard car. Whilst I will be leaving it standard, I do like the look of these side skirts as I think they provide that extra depth to the side profile of the cars. Can anyone tell me what side skirts these are and where one would be able to obtain such parts that fit correctly and are not just very cheap add ons that never fit?

Justa quick hello (i'm sure you get lots of newbies). I have had a MK3 Supra Turbo auto several years ago, since then just onwed a range of Japanese & German Sports cars. Currently drive a 97' BMW E36 328i coupe (looking to change) and a Volvo C70 T5 GT. I am looking to change my lovely daily runaround BMW E36 328i coupe for something else. Having owned an M5 and 328i, I was thinking of going back to a Japanese car for a change. I am seriously considering a Toyota Supra TT, but these days there are next to no UK models ever for sale. Seen a few Jap imports. (Always had genuine UK cars in the past for Japanese sports cars). Just a couple of quick questions regarding these cars; 1. Are the 1998/1999 cars (which I assume are all imports from what I have seen) with the manumatic gearboxes 4 speed (like the 1994/95 TT models) or 5/6 speed? 2. Are the auto gearboxes in general robust? 3. In the auto's, at 90mph what revs are TT models pulling? 4. Having onwed an M5 and grunty cars in the past, I know such cars are not designed for economy. However what sort of MPG and miles to a tank can I expect from general dirivng, tootling during commuting with the occasional heavy twitch of the right foot? (its just nice to know what one can expect). 5. IIRC Jap import TT models had different turbos that were not supposed to be as strong as the UK spec cars. Are these really an issue to be aware of when buying? 6. Are parts easy enough to get hold of if the car is an import?
