  1. Does this come with all the gubbins as pictured, heater controls etc.?
  2. On 275/35R18's my speedo reads out by near as dammit 10% as far up as I've been (an indicated 175). Interesting when I had the Apexi AVC-R wired up it was almost identical to the GPS reading so I agree with Ian that I think the speedo dial is designed to over-read, probably for some kind of safety?

    getrag box

Go for the rebuild, it'll be all new bits anyway so no difference apart from saving yourself a wedge and getting it done quicker. I expect even from Toyota UK you'll be in with a wait, I can't see them keeping stock of a gearbox that was only put in 200 UK cars. I bet they'd ship it from Japan too..
  4. Just had a look at his garage and looks like it might well have been!
  5. Seems to be about the price they're going for for the mileage on Pistonheads, not sure how well anything is selling at the moment though. This one has the optional air con and also satnav which is quite a rare option apparently. Probably because it was an £1800 option from Honda
  6. Just so happens I have a set in my dining room, just haven't got round to taking a photo yet to list them for sale.. PM me if interested
  7. Seen it a few times this week when I've been over that way, parked opposite Louis' fish and chip shop, can't remember the road name..
  8. You'd just come over the railway crossing, I was driving my girlfriend's Red GT-Four, think you had a Veilside kit, or at least the wing?
  9. All IMHO, the GT-Four is more comfortable (especially on long journeys), holds the road better, grips better, is faster and has a much bigger grin factor. The only thing it sucks at is fuel consumption. Don't get me wrong, the Type-R is a brilliant car that always put a smile on my face, but it's not a sports car like a GT-Four.
  10. I wouldn't be able to make Mother's Day.. Got to show willing with the old dear
  11. Selling my girlfriend's Type-R as she's just upgraded to a GT-Four. All details on pistonheads.. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/386627.htm
  12. If you google there are companies that specialise in short term insurance, I did it last week to test drive my girlfriend's new car as it had no insurance on it. They do it from 1-28 days, though you might run in to difficulty if the car is modified as it's quite basic insurance. Sky have a link to one on their website, I think it's called insuredaily or something.
  13. Might be worth starting a new thread once it's decided, I suspect a lot of people won't trawl through 8 pages of thread to find the meet details!
  14. Should technically be worse in the winter, the air is generally denser and so requires slightly more fuel to ignite it the same
  15. Some of you guys are such tarts! I swap cars with my girlfriend all the time and she drives my Supra whenever she likes. I trust her And I know she doesn't hang around in it lol..

    Loverly day

I always chuckle when driving in to Eastbourne on the A22, that sign that says "The Sunshine Coast Welcomes You!" Lol..
  17. No idea in answer to your "friend's" question, but your terminology made me laugh out loud
  18. The aircon wheel? If it's got the belt going round it then it should be moving all the time when the engine is running, nevermind whether the air con is turned on or not. Or am I misunderstanding you?
  19. Yes, it's gearbox oil that flows through that rad not coolant. You'll need to check your gearbox level and top it up afterwards if needed.
  20. Why don't you just wire the inner most lights up as the fog lights?
  21. Do you think you could make the photos a bit bigger, can't quite see them
  22. How many miles has the clutch done though, I'm assuming not 50k? Why have you upgraded?
  23. Very interested as my stocker is on the way out. How many miles and what type of use has it had? And how much are you looking for, I've no idea for offers?
