  1. You don't I'm afraid, it's one unit and not interchangable. This is a side view of a 2JZ OSG twin plate clutch (TR2CD): http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/supe/supraosg4.jpg You can see how the flywheel has castle-like turrets built on to it? That's what holds the multiple plates together and creates the twin-plate section of the clutch. Hence, not possible to use with a standard flywheel. Hope that helps make it a bit clearer!
  2. Any twin plate will rattle, that's the way it is with the design. Any lightened flywheel will also cause a rattle to some extent. A lightened flywheel isn't going to decrease the lifespan of your gearbox any more than running an extra 200~bhp through it already is to be honest. It's designed for 300 and running more will be putting more stress on it. We all know the Getrag is pretty robust so really don't worry about it. The OSG is a very good bit of kit, I know a few people who swear by them and I think you'll find Chris speaks very highly of them, which is enough of a recommendation for a lot of people. I got that price for the rebuild kit direct from a Jap supplier website, I think it might have been Greenline? They do two levels of rebuild, one is just friction plates I believe and one includes the cover plate as well.
  3. The OS Giken twin plate is a complete unit including flywheel and can't be used with a standard flywheel. You can get full rebuild kits for it for £400-500 which IMO is a bit of a bargain. Seems mad to get rid of such a good clutch when it just needs a rebuild. That's the beauty of the OSG's, when they wear out you just replace the worn bits and not the entire setup. Chris Wilson can get hold of the parts you would require, worth PM'ing him or alternatively RB Motorsports are the UK distibutor and most of the Jap suppliers can get hold of parts for them.
  4. Was just down there and spotted a very nice black Supra parked outside, TRD rear spoiler, nice multispoke alloys and a bit of a kit.. K*** EMO was the numberplate, anybody here? Don't think I've seen it around before?
  5. Halfway down is fine, probably better for it than topped right up to the max line anyway.
  6. Heading northbound past the A21 junction area of the M25, looked like an Abflug-type spoiler on the boot, was on the opposite carriageway in the mother-in-law's car so only saw you flash by!
  7. It's not, it's the first version of the CT26 which will only fit the 7M-GTE mk3 Supra and the ST165 GT-Four. Also the same housing as on an early version of diesel Landcruiser. They suffer very badly from cracking around the wastegate ports. The MR2 turbos and ST185/ST205 GT-Fours have a twin scroll housing and a slightly different bolt spacing on the exhaust manifold where the turbo bolts to.
  8. Possibly Sean? Parked in a layby near Polegate just off of the dual cabbageways in to Eastbourne. No spoiler, big FMIC.. Went past in the mother-in-laws Astranomical so didn't bother waving lol
  9. Silver J-spec, think you went round the one way system as I saw a silver one a few cars in front then it went passed us as we got stuck at the traffic lights. Otherwise I spotted two silver ones today Also saw the white Supra is back in Seaside Road with a half done front bumper..
  10. I go past that every week at least once on the way to the hospital

Yes, I know serial is RS232, was checking it was onboard.. Thanks imi
  12. Went a different way home today, was just not there last week which was the first time it hasn't been there when I've been passed in a long long while!
  13. And I see the white Supra that's been parked in Seaside Road for months has finally moved.. Must have left dents in the road that one! Seems to have been replaced by a Celica now?
  14. I saw a silver Supra in the Crumbles this morning, was auto and sounded N/A. I was getting in the mother-in-law's Astranomical at the time

Hi imi, what's the battery life like on this? And it has on-board RS232?
  16. It was agreed that my girlfriend could name her, and she's been called Gizmo (like the Gremlin)
  17. Got a new addition to the family, brought this little lass home this afternoon and been playing with her most of the afternoon settling her in. She's finally having a quick sleep, hoping for most of the night! She's a proper cutie.. http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/gizmo1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/gizmo2.jpg Just 8 weeks old so everything is really interesting and exciting. Apart from my girlfriend's baby rabbits (9 weeks old) which the kitten is dead scared of!
  18. Out running the new box in Gaz
  19. I had to ask for mine at the garage, they didn't offer. And it's one for every 30 litres so a full tank gets two I got the full collection in one week last week
  20. Bringing this up again as my clutch is slipping more and more and I need to do something with it. This chap now accepts paypal and feedback still looks good to me. The only thing is, I've done a search for the clutch model he's selling and I can only find it listed for the 1JZ not the 2JZ. It seems to be a different model of clutch listed for the 2JZ. Has OSG just started making this one for the 2JZ or is it a mistake?
  21. Now that sounds like the kind of thing he's looking for, enough functionality without a stupid price.. He's been speaking to Raw about getting an alloy crank pulley that's made up with a sensor pickup in it, and from what I understand the ignition control systems they've recommended use a sensor on a bracket next to this to work from. I take it the MBE is similar to this? He's taking the engine apart and giving it a good workover before it goes in the car, getting the crank and all journals checked over and new rings in at the very least. New valve stem oil seals etc. and he'll do some headwork on it (a hobby of his and he's pretty good at doing a bit of port matching and gas flowing) just to clean up the casting. Sounds like with a small amount of work on the engine and the carbs on it, it should be pushing out 135-140ish bhp which should be interesting in a car just over 500Kg
  22. Chatting to my mate's Dad earlier, he's building a Fisher Fury with a 4A-GE engine in it. He's decided to go for a pair of twin 40 Weber carbs on it instead of fuel injection (can't wait to hear it) but is looking for a system to control the ignition, and get rid of the dizzy. He's been recommended a couple, but wondered if anybody had any experience of things like this and could recommend anything, especially the likes of Ryan who do this day in day out? So far people have mentioned things like Omex and GEMS I think it is, that do just ignition control?
  23. I have a personal account, not business, with HSBC and all the call centres I ever get to are overseas and speak poor English. Are the business call centres different? I was told by a woman the other day that to get out of my overdraft (bearing in mind I'm off sick for 12+ months for treatment and recovery from cancer) I should get a part-time job. Took a lot of self-control not to tell her to have sex and travel.. HSBC also don't allow you to phone your local branch directly which I find very annoying. I'm changing banks soon.
