  2. I've only been here a few weeks, so don't know him very well yet. Plenty of time though
  3. Yeh I do, started a few weeks ago! One of the Accountants told me about your car on my first day, said you drive past most days.

    Smart FTP

It's an FTP program so it's basic functionality is the same of course, I just like the Smart FTP interface a lot, it's connection functions and tabbed ftp access is very nice. Unless I managed to download an old version of Filezilla, it's doesn't do that.

    Smart FTP

Now Smart FTP have started charging for their software, can anybody recommend a good free replacement? I've tried Filezilla and it's nowhere near as good as Smart FTP in my opinion. Either that or can anybody point me in the direction of a patch for Smart FTP that will actually work Cheers,
  6. Best of luck, great cause also personally close to my heart. When I'm home (and have my card with me) I will add my sponsorship
  7. Still looking for a grey carpet, doesn't have to be immaculate but no holes or wear unless under the front mat area. Would like pics if you have one on offer please! Cheers, Mark.

    F1 Appeal

I've just read it, and wasn't sure if I wanted to before hand as it sounded like an autobiography and it's too early for that. But after reading it, it comes across like a transcript of an interview, and I think he comes across very well. Arrogant, no. But self-belief, yes, tons of it and rightly so.

    F1 Appeal

I don't see how you can percieve Lewis to be arrogant? If he goes on to win 7 world championships will you then like him? I think he's got one of the better attitude's in F1, especially compared to the likes of recent drivers such as the one and only Michael Shumacher who was truly an arrogant, albeit very talented, man. I agree with Alex that sometimes he could not say things he does but that comes with experience which can't be taught. He is very young as well, these things come with age. I used to love F1 but to me the sport is all but dead, the FIA have ruined it. They might as well just parade two Ferrari's around the track every race for all the effort they make to stop others from being competitive. I really do hope Lewis goes on to win the championship, he deserves it because he is a very talented driver. Unfortunately this upsets people.
  10. I don't think so, will have to have another look in the morning. Drove through Hailsham earlier past my work, apparently does so most days..
  11. Gun metal grey, parked in a driveway sometimes when I go past in the mornings. Anybody on here?
  12. Not me I don't think, haven't been up that way for a while. Could well be Perry's Father-in-law, he's looking after Perry's Red UK. Lives out Westfield way. Last time I saw it, it had gold wheels.
  13. Hi All, I'm having some issues with the gearlinkage on my 6-speed getrag. The issues started when I had the clutch changed a few months ago, from standard to an OS Giken. When I got the car back from having the clutch fitted, the linkage didn't feel as tight and positive as it had done, though it seemed to work fine. After a couple of weeks the linkage had slowly become 'looser' and then one day whilst giving her some beans, 5th gear seemed to disappear from the selection and I nearly inadvertantly dropped it from 4th to 3rd at high revs. Obviously worried I drove the car back home gently, whilst driving home (only 1-2 miles from my house) 2nd gear also didn't feel right to select, as though you can twist the gear stick around while it was in gear. I spoke to the garage who had fitted the clutch and after some discussion they kindly offered to send a mechanic over to me to have a look. The chap had a look under the car and said that the only thing they remove when changing the clutch was the bolt holding the bottom of the stick to the linkage. He replaced this bolt with new and said that the old bolt was 'worn'. After fitting the new bolt the gearchange felt a lot better, much more positive but I didn't think it felt quite as it had before. Anyway, happy to be able to use my car again and maybe put the slightly sloppy change down to me being fussy I carried on using the car. Now several weeks later I have thought the shifter felt like it was loosening up, my thoughts confirmed this morning on the way to work as the gear stick is very loose and me having to concentrate to get some of the gears spot on. I haven't had a chance to get under the car yet, but can anybody suggest what might be going on here? From what I understand the linkage isn't a very complicated system, and that would have been the only bolt removed whilst changing the clutch. I'm sure the box is ok as no unusual noises from it and it engages gears fine. Just feels like the gearstick isn't connected as well as before or that there's play in a part of it. Are there any bushes that could be causing trouble? Cheers for any advice Mark.
  14. Ha. No forum is safe from the curse of Mycroft..
  15. Yes that is very true, I think he's just run out of forums to sign up to and annoy now. Unless he's moved on to German cars, or French cars or something
  16. I'd throw it in the bin mate it's knackered, or do what my friends and I did to mine and attack it with a large hammer. Very therapeutic
  17. I think anybody who's been on a Japanese car forum has come across the infamous Mycroft. Truly, an intelligent idiot if ever I saw one. It's cool to read about how things started off, there should really be a post of a page somewhere that reads like a bedtime story of how the mkivsupra.net owners club started
  18. I'd also be interested in a price for full respray, just in the standard colour again so assume less work involved?
  19. I've got one on my UK car working fine and never caused a problem. Don't jump the gun fella, Jody won't sell you what you don't need.
  20. Long shot of the week.. Anybody got a Power FC for the Supra that they're looking to get rid of? Perferably with the hand controller, but I'd be happy with just the ECU
  21. Well I should be there all being well, Dick will be coming depending on if his man flu is gone in the morning and if he feels comfortable bringing his car as it's got an intermittent misfire (though was behaving in front of me yesterday!). I should be at Somerfields around 12, but I warn you I'm usually a bit late
  22. Well done Darryl! Doing really well mate, bet you've learnt a lot about the Supra in quite some depth.. Why is the speedo needle pointing to quite a speed. Were you pusing along whilst taking the pic
  23. I need that nice new clutch to pull it's lardy arse along!
  24. You'd be suprised, my car is a lardy UK spec that takes half hour to get spooled! Your car probably weighs about the same as all the 'extras' on my UK spec..
