  1. It was last cleaned July 4th I lost heart a bit when something dented it, and driving through the lanes it's just not worth it this time of year, it's dirty the next day. Actually, I tell a lie I did clean it once since I've been here, about two months ago lol.. Once the mundano is fixed it'll get washed and used a bit less often! It's Poutney Tyres in Worthing, 01903 821524. Apparently they've always got about 5000 tyres in stock, sell all over the world dealing in used stuff. They had loads in my size, but that was the best one for the job. He had pretty much every premium brand in.
  2. Still bored then Garath? If you feel the need to walk round the corner, my car could do with a quick clean We get tyres at trade prices so very cheap, but as I only needed the one we got in contact with a company in Worthing who deal in used tyres and picked up a barely used Eagle F1 GSD3 in 235/40R18 for £40. One of our engineers picked it up this morning for me too. Will either get one of the guys to fit it later or do it myself.
  3. Checking my tread yesterday, all was fine until I caught the glimpse of something not black on the inside corner of the front offside wheel. Turned the steering out to see it badly worn on just that tyre on the inside, very strange angle and lots of cords showing. Arse. Handy working for a place that deals in tyre changing equipment though Yeh, start a thread for an Eastbourne meet and we can have a chat about when and where.
  4. Yeh should be, by the time I leave work tonight my car should be legal again in the tyre department (will post pics later..) but whether it'll be clean or not is a different matter as it's been used daily for weeks now driving through the Crowhurst and Catsfield lanes, more brown than pink at the moment
  5. Not sure there's quite 15, but quite a few.. there was a list somewhere a little while ago?
  6. Chavs Meet sounds good, not sure on the best place for it though?
  7. Andrew was talking about getting a few of the local Eastbourne/Hailsham/St Leonards owners together sometime, seem to be more people this way than Brighton way and would be easier at short notice?
  8. Nothing special, just a UK with decats and exhausts You'll have to get along to a Brighton meet, or the Eastbourne meet if it happens!
  9. Hi Jimbo, I've not seen another one in St Leonards but have heard there is one going about! Shuddit you!
  10. In this country it was more of a GT car and was marketed to people who did miles, hence luxuries like the heated seats, so I think that market would have preffered an auto. Similar to the Mercedes and Jag GT sports cars really.
  11. The original invoice for mine was £39k in 1994. And I understood they were Auto as standard with a no-cost manual option.
  12. Not sure if it's the same car or not, but saw a black one in Catsfield around 8.45 yesterday morning, then a black one in Catsfield yesterday evening about 6pm (I flashed you to come out of the junction and in to the pub car park) and then a black one this morning by Hollington resevoir in St Leonards, waiting to come out of the junction on to Queensway. Anybody on here?
  13. Job well done, fancy doing mine too? I started to peel the rubber off from around the ashtray area and think I've scored it so will probably need a new panel for that bit, don't think it'll sand up too well.
  14. Could really do with these, but my sodding Mondeo has just thrown an injector and got to spend out £400 to get them refurbed.. Might have to get back to you if you've still got these at the end of the month, sorry to mess you about Kev.
  15. I need a set to replace my 126k ones, but am a bit worried about buying high mileage ones in case they go the same way. Currently got a misfire when cold that clears up when it's warm. Are there any visible cracks on the casings at all? Mine have gone around one screw hole on each of the packs?
  16. In fairness, some people have loads of trouble getting the nuts off the first decat, some have no problem at all (my UK had done 110k miles and they came off like new). That's the only item where a gun or some heat might help you and therefore need the garages equipment, but you don't need a supra specialist to get off a siezed bolt.
  17. People would be put off by the age to be honest, tyres have a shelf life and do go off..
  18. As Merckx says, it's a Supra not a spaceship. Have a go yourself, there's guides on here for most things and it's not that difficult. Your father-in-law should be fine with it if he's a mechanic.
  19. Really liking the look of the flocked panels, I've been thinking of doing it to mine but wanted to see somebody else do it first! It should stick ok to standard rubber without having to peel it all off first shouldn't it? Big bonus for me not having to sit and do that..
  20. It bolts straight in but the wiring isn't there. If I remember correctly, the plug is in the bootlid and goes down one side of the car and stops next to the rear seat. To get it working you have to run a wire across the back of the car to the rear brake light wire and tap in to that.
  21. I've just bought a TDCi 130 estate, and even that shifts for a diesel. The 2.2 must be a lovely engine to drive. Stick a decent chip on them and they really move, lots of torque.
  22. That's tempting fate that is!
  23. It's official, Eastbourne is the Supra capital of the UK!
  24. Which further confirms my belief that eating octopus, and bugs and beetles is not good for you!
