  1. I'm really not a fan of the Abflug kit, erring toward the burn-it brigade. But it looks even more awful in black, that silver/grey it is already is quite flattering to the kits lines IMO
  2. Jamie, do you happen to know since you're into this building lark? What's the party wall act?
  3. Has anybody who's had a baby done this to see how close it is?? Just done myself and my girlfriend and it looks very very similar to edd t's
  4. I was hoping the answer would be yes lol.. My kn0b of a neighbour has just had a unit put in this morning *right* next to my bedroom window, as close as he could to my house (semi-detatched). It's a fairly big unit, and I'm quite worried about the noise it will make and also hoping it won't cause interference to my Sky dish which it is almost touching.
  5. Hi All, Wondered if anybody can tell me if it's required to have planning permission to install an air con unit on the outside of your house? Cheers, Mark.
  6. Uprated wastegate? Strange, fingers crossed I've not been pulled once in my car. And the front number plate fell off about a month ago..
  7. Oops, sorry Rob, totally missed that! Cheers guys, that gets is a lot closer than Yorkshire Will see if anybody else replies soon that lives closer, couldn't see anybody on the list though. Homer, Reading could be useful as I have to go up to Guildford in the next couple of weeks to pick up a seat, and it's not too much further whilst I'm out and about, thanks!
  8. Hi Guys, Wondering if any of you southern guys that are going to SupraPod would be up for doing me a favour? RobSheffield has got a carpet that I want to buy, we were talking about posting it down but it's in really good condition shape-wise and we don't want to ruin it. Rob suggested that maybe some kind member would stick it in their car and bring it back down this way? A few beer tokens up for anybody who can help out Cheers, Mark.
  9. Hope Rose is ok Dick? Please give her my regards
  10. From what I've read it's just the Blitz that's really bad, when you look at it I think they designed it to be as straight as possible rather than to fit properly. Does sound the dogs danglies though
  11. Gordy I've got the Blitz on mine, which isn't lowered and is still a PITA as it scrapes on speed bumps etc. Just for your info!
  12. These things always do, quite good fun, but some people to get very agitated! Doesn't matter what speed the truck is doing, when the car gets in it, it will be doing the speed it was doing on the road. You'd need good brakes to stop before going through the end of the truck though. Who's up for hijacking a car transporter and giving it a crack? Nobody with J-spec brakes though please
  13. And I'm still not convinced about the helicopter one, I think it would take off regardless of how the turntable was spinning. The body of the helicopter will move with the turntable so to the blades, the effect will be that the helicopter is on still ground. Are any of our budding model helicopterists willing to give this a go with a record deck?
  14. If you've got fecking good brakes, yeh
  15. The helicopter would still take off, as it would be spinning on the turntable and the blades would produce thrust down on to it regardless of whether it is moving or not? Not sure on the hovercraft one..
  16. I think you've kind of missed the point Ed
  17. I can understand how people don't think it will take off, they see that the moving runway will stop the plane from going forwards and therefore not getting any airflow past the wings to give lift. Took me a little while to work it out, but it wouldn't matter how fast or in which direction the runway was moving, the planes engines will push it forwards because they are pushing on the air. The wheels on the plane are just there to allow it to move around on the ground, they're not powered so are not used to get it up to speed for take off, just the thrust of the engines.
  18. What's the condition and are the little sticky up bits still there that used to hold the old gaitor on?
  19. Oh you git, I was looking for one for ages and have finally given up and got the money allocated to buy a diesel for getting to work and back in
  20. Might pop down to this, not sure if I'll have time to or not though. And as for Gerald Dale, from the things I've heard about the bloke I wouldn't trust him with my lawnmower
  21. Single turbo I assume from the sound? Kerry said it sounds very similar to mine exhaust noise wise (I don't know as always inside my car and it sounds different), but the turbo part sounded different. There's a couple, some of the managers/directors are quite in to their cars, helps with the business we're in.
