  1. I keep meaning to get round to putting some new jets on mine. I fancy some like the ones on my old crapper Pug 405, they sit on the wipers and spray as you wipe which works much better than the fixed spray ones. Wouldn't know wether to just leave the old ones unused or try and block them up, bonnet does need respraying at some point anyway as it's got a big stone chip on it..
  2. Against my better judgement, but here we go.. Recent one of me: http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/mark1.jpg And one from last year with my best mate on his stag do in between chemo (hence bald as a badgers arse!): http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/mark2.jpg

    Eve online

I've not come across this before, but have spent half the morning reading the FAQ's on the Eve website and am sorely tempted to give it a go. Not sure I'd have the time to make it worthwhile though.. I suppose if it's a 14-day trial then I can have a go and see if I like it at least
  4. Chris, have you had much experience of comparing the Innovate widebands? When I researched in to getting one, the information I found certainly favoured the Innovate over the AEM, but I doubt it's accuracy compared to the more exotic equipment?
  5. Greddy definitely still has a cut, it's the one that caps the signal and is adjustable via the screw that Pete mentions, and a multimeter IIRC? All your findings sound pretty much spot on so far, the reason for the silly lean on overrun is that the injectors shut off and your engine is just pumping air. Not sure what the AEM gauges show, but my Innovate (which seems to have a much broader range) switches from Lambda to % Oxygen in the air at that point. This is why, contrary to popular opinion, coasting down a hill in gear is much better for your fuel economy than coasting with the engine idling
  6. You should still have the plate and gaiter round the base of the shifter though, it's there to stop heat and water/debris coming up through, it also supresses the noise quite well, as does the actual dash panel.
  7. The exhaust also runs right next to where the shifter is, this is much more likely the cause of the heat than the gearbox which is a bit further forward in the car.
  8. According to the service history it had a gearbox rebuild after 40k But (touches wood) it's still on it's original turbos at 125k so he must have warmed it before thrashing it
  9. Interestingly, it lists under my careers 'Computer Programming' which is close enough to my career in IT as an Engineer. Also, Famous People of my type: Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Clara Barton (Founder of the American Red Cross), Ronald Reagan
  10. Your Type is: ENFJ Extraverted 67%, Intuitive 38%, Feeling 12%, Judging 56% You are: * distinctively expressed extravert * moderately expressed intuitive personality * slightly expressed feeling personality * moderately expressed judging personality
  11. My car was first owned by Ukyo Katayama, I don't have a pic though But I do have a copy of the original log book with his name on it.
  12. Looks like a few Aston Martin styling cues on the front end..
  13. That looks really smart. Any plans to make a batch of the little extension bars?
  14. I was heading towards Bexhill, went past you heading towards Hailsham. Must be spot-a-silver-Supra day!
  15. Really sorry I didn't make this guys, had a bbq here and didn't get to bed until gone 4am, plus after a fair bit of booze I did't even wake up til about 2pm Thanks to Jeff for phoning to see if I was coming though Really really will try and make the next one!
  16. Somehow I just didn't think it would be as easy as calling them, makes a nice change though. I'll give my local tax office a call and see what they say. Thanks guys!

    New job

Yep, absolutely made up with it, really had my heart set on it. Sounds like they have big things in mind for me, lots of new stuff to learn too which I really like. Can't wait!
  18. What wheels are they? Might be worth trying Ibrar, he's a trader on here?
  19. Has anybody had any experience of a Tax Refund Service? I'm a member of the union Unison and they have teamed up with a company called TaxRefundCo. who offer a service where they check if you have overpaid income tax at all and then get the money back for you. They charge 40% comission if they get you money back but nothing if you are not owed anything. Now, 40% seems like an awful lot, but I wouldn't know how to go about it myself for 'free'. Is that even possible? Or should I just try my luck with this company? I'm very tempted as they say that a lot of people are owed money and don't realise and also I was off work sick for many months and not getting paid and think that I am owed some tax back.. Any advice?

    New job

Haven't started the plumbing adventure yet, apart from to play with the push-fit bits, they're cool to fiddle with for some reason Keep meaning to get on to it though and won't take me long! And yes, selling the Supra would have been a very unhappy experience. I keep telling myself that it's dropping in value too much to make it worth it anyway

    New job

Heard yesterday that I was successful with the job I was applying for, so handed my notice in today I'm over the moon, really wanted the job as I think it will be a great new start and a step in the right direction for my career. Still, been at the current job for 4.5 years now so a good time to move I think. Going to be working for a company called Apaseal who distribute tyre-related equipment and sundries. Who knows, may even get a chance to 'test' the equipment when I get new tyres for the car I was contemplating selling the Supra as well, as things were tight, but this should mean that I can keep her. Few beers this weekend me thinks
  23. I'm happy with that too, as I get more of a lay-in
  24. The comments in that link are entertaining..
