  1. I suffered from ear infections alot. Nothing used to help other then a heavy dose of antibiotics. Used to have to goto the ENT clinic every 6 months and once one of my ear drums burst. Nearly couldnt do my maths GCSE early beacuse of damn ear infections. I hope you're little boy gets better soon.
  2. I have found a fair few performance insurers who wont quote me or give me a price which is silly. Sky wont insure me I guess i'm stuck paying 900 with admiral.
  3. Love to watch and listen to storms but I always know somethings going to be broken at work in the morning.
  4. Every time i've ever been to Birmingham to visit relatives my mates all start taking in bad northen accents. Anything above london is "North" for us. Watch out for speed cameras. It's always the long out of town trips that catch you out as you dont know where they're hidden them.
  5. How did you speak to them if the line was faulty? Did you phone them on a seperate line or mobile? I had a bit of an odd one from my ISP once. Phoned them to report a fault. They said they would email me with the steps I needed to take to resolve the problem and was there anything else they could do for me. I asked them how I could get email without an internet connection. The foreign lady just said it will be in the email....
  6. Cats aways do that. Jump on your newspaper or keyboard. They can't stand it when you are paying an inanimate object more attention then them. Funny little animals really.
  7. Looks like he could only afford to respray half of it.

Watch out. The UK is ALOT cheaper to insure then a import. The quote for me on an import was 2400 from the same insurer. Thats why i had to get a UK spec. You will be very lucky if you can find/afford a UK manual; there are alot more autos then manuals.

The opposite is true for me. I did an online quote direct with admiral on thier website and got a price of 1400. I thought this was fine and it was cheaper then anywhere else (Only 21) When I came to actually phone them and buy the policy. I only had to pay a little over 800. When the documents arrived and said 2957cc i assumed that was why and expected to have to pay a load more when i corrected them but it was still 500 quid cheaper then thier online price.

I am with admiral and when I phoned them to change my car over to the supra the documents arrived with the engine size listed as 2957 cc which is the mkIII. Make sure you phone them and make sure they know its a 2997 cc. I was shocked as they had the year correct but I dont think they even made the mkIII in 94/95?? I am paying 913 fully comp on a UK TT as it was 87 quid more when they knew it was a mkiv.
  12. A big sub in the boot is a handling upgrade. Helps bring the car closer to 50/50 weight distribution. I wish I had the time/space to make a nice custom enclosure like that. You don’t fancy making me one for a 12” sub do you?
  13. I was never allowed to change the answer message but I did on occation put the odd drum n bass cd in for hold music.

    Mazda MX5

That was also the standard steering wheel on my old 323. I yanked off the rubber cover too, alot earier to use the horn with it off and you could show off the momo logo. The 323 was only a 1.8 but chucked out 138 hp and weighed 1040kg. I prefer the mk1 to the later ones personally.
  15. amen. I used to work in a school and after a teacher told off a lad for fighting his dad and older brother came in with a hammer looking for said teacher. sad thing is it wasnt an isolated incident either

Thats the exact same steering wheel my old 323F GT had. Is it the 1.6 or 1.8 engine?
  17. I'm surprised there isn't a "Do you drink stella and then wack your partner round the head with the empty cans?" question. It is wife beater afterall.

    Life = >40 Years

killing them would only make them martyrs. Lock them up and throw away the keys.
  19. whats even more concerning is the geek test. I scored 63% geek. So im 26% chav, and 63% geek I wonder what the other 11% is.
  20. I agree anyone over 50% chav should be an instant ban with those above 40% being decided on a case by case basis.
  21. You are 26% chav! Thats well out. I ain't chavy init.
  22. My alarm has been chirping over bumps and generally being a PITA so I have removed the siren from the engine bay. I have taken it to bits and measured the voltage on the battery. It is only 0.3 Volts. Does anyone know what it is ment to be so I can solder in a similar type? or is it even possible to buy just the battery? there is a part number on the outside of the siren: 00270-01021 Thanks in advance.
  23. yeah the freezer trick is a last resort. I think it can also help unstable chips run. Semiconductors become alot less resistive at low temps.
  24. Might sound a bit odd but if all else fails try putting it in the freezer for ahwile, if the platters or heads are making contact the contraction of the metal when its very cold can temporarily bring it to life. Just watch out for condensation. I had to do it 3-4 times with my old 13gb hitachi back in the days of mhz and amd k6 processors. It would work for a few minutes until it warmed up.
