  1. assuming 0.99p a litre and 20mpg its 270 a month on fuel alone. You'd also need to factor in the cost of oil changes etc. Insurance might not be so bad. I am paying 913 fully comp on a UK spec TT and i'm only 21. On a J spec the best quote i could get was 2400 though.
  2. Maybe it's not on the database being an earlier supra or an import? I wonder if I could get away with a double decat...
  3. You could always buy a beefy graphics card if you wanted to do games. I would also have a look at the following websites to see if they do anything better/cheaper. http://scan.co.uk/ http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ http://Http://www.novatech.co.uk/
  4. Welcome. You could even buy two supras for the much. Have one as a daily driver and the other as a track/weekend car?
  5. nah, the little tyke was just having a butchers at your cool car. Or maybe he was going to jack it up have your wheels and leave it on bricks ? d:

    p/s pump

hmm... we do have a bearing press at work but it would mean driving too and from work with no power steering pump and therefore no aux belt so i think i might just have to get a replacement Thanks for the tip thought, just need to find a Jspec being broken somewhere.
  7. Awesome vid and love the music. Shame I couldnt make it to jae. Last track on orbitals last album. I went to orbitals last ever live gig in brixton.

    p/s pump

My power steering pump sounds a bit like it has some ball bearings in it. If you squirt the bearing behind the pully with oil it gets a little quieter. There looks to be plenty of fluid in there which isnt black or anything. Will a power steering pump from a jspec TT fit ok on a UK spec?
  9. To add insult to injury they are sometimes premium lines or at least 0870 ones which charge at a higher rate. Shocking.

    Puncture

Was it a local place? or an online retailer? I got my 255/17 toyo T1R's from camskill and got a local place to fit them.

thats a damn good price for a 19. I payed only slightly less for my 17's

    Puncture

Well these tyres are only 2 months old and the wheels were off to do that so I think they just slammed the nuts on way too tight. I can understand why, imagine the legal battle if a wheel came off after they worked on it? Still its a PITA

    Puncture

I have had a bad experiance in the past where when trying to remove a wheel on my old car the thread was nearly completely stripped on the wheel stud. I dont know if it went on cross threaded or was simply on too tight. I always try an oil the nuts a little now when I put them on. The guy at the tyre place said it was a chunk of metal. Looked like a bit of a razor blade or something.

    Puncture

Recently one of the neighbours caught someone trying to take my dust caps off presumably to let down the tyre but luckily the locking dust caps prevented anything happening. They shouted at them and the little scrote ran off. Went out to the car today ready to go to work and discovered my offside rear was totally flat. Instantly I had visions of some hooded miscreant letting my tyres down but the cap was still on and nothing was slashed etc. Tried pumping it up but it was such a fast puncture it wouldn’t have held air long enough to get me to the tyre place or work so I had to bust out the space saver spare. I ended up jumping on my wheel brace to get the nuts off. I'm not huge but not that light at 13 stone either so they were on waaay to tight. Ended up managing to get the tyre repaired for £14 which isn't bad as it's a nice toyo t1r and only done 2k miles tops. Does anyone on here oil the threads/nuts on their wheels? Or torque them on properly? The air guns these tyre places use to wack them on far too tight in my opinion. I am just waiting for the thread to strip next time I have to take a wheel off.
  15. if somone spat at my window id just throw my drive through milkshake at them. Nah id proberly just overtake and then drive slow.

    De-catting TT

I think the first cat is more restrictive then the second. With both of them out most J specs will boost too high. Did you find it was much louder when you took out the second cat?
  17. Congrats. I know it's early days but do you have any names in mind?
  18. Ordered the AEM. Managed to find it for 190 quid new The down side is now I will have to work out how to program the clock on my stereo as I will soon lose the oem one
  19. Oh and if you want to pack on muscle you need to eat like a beast. Get your other half to make you a full english every morning
  20. Thats quite expensive. Are they polished/chromed ones? A friend of mine wouldnt buy the black rough weights... had to have polished rebock ones at well over double the price I bought a set of york dumbells and barbells with 50kg of weight for about 50 quid. Then just got a couple of 10kg disks for 15 quid when 50kg wasnt enough. Great value when your paying about 30 a month on gym membership.
  21. Getting a gym partner who is similar in fitness level can be great, especially when you compete with each other and can both see improvements. Also you can help each other out on things like the bench press by spotting each other. It lets you push to the point where you cant lift the weight any more because there is someone there to help you put it back etc. Things like negative reps can be good too.
  22. I find the ecconomy really impreseive on the longer runs as long as i keep it arround or below 70mph I have managed well over 30mpg Its round town and all the shorter stop start driving that drinks the fuel.
  23. Use mine as a daily driver. Tend to get 300-320 miles out of it before the warning light comes on. Thats a few short journeys few longer and some booting it about. Not too bad really as I almost always get 20+MPG unless I have been going crazy.
  24. Basicly I am after something that does the job and looks good wihtout being too expensive. Maybe asking alot. With the TT do you need anything extra beacause of the two turbos? Or is it all controlled from the one wastegate?
