Reverse the leads on the multimeter? Cars run on a 12v negative ground anyway.

I am after a few meters of hose suitable to fit on the wastegate actuator, vsv etc. Prefer black but colour isnt too important.

do you even need to own a car to insure it? Surely you can insure a car you have access to. Just need to tell them you are not the registered keeper etc and insure yourself on your mums/mates car

Were you sat in traffic much? I only ever manage 21.5 mpg but then I sometimes spend 20-30 mins a day barely moving.

I always tend to leave it in drive. If you pull the handbrake on fairly hard it will hold the car so you dont need to stay on the brakes all the time.

Had popcorn chicken today. Sometimes get a subway or have a petrol station lunch... pastie, chocolate etc.

19 out of 20 times the car starts instantly. Other times it cranks for a couple of seconds and splutters for a couple of moments before springing to life. A couple of times it keeps cranking and wont start for a good 5-10 seconds. I dont think its the starter or the battery as it always cranks over. I have also put brannd new plugs in only about a month ago. It has done this before and after the new plugs. Any ideas? When its running its faultless, no misses and pulls well. The car is a completely standard UK spec.

ipods are wonderful but I couldnt never get on with itunes... I have alwayds used ephpod or similar as you can just update any ipod without all this localization and wiping ipods etc.

thats quite shocking. Makes me think my 21.6 MPG average is OK for a TT. I do 50 miles a day, alot of it spent at decent speeds but even more spent sitting in traffic or punting it about.

The manual for my car says to put in 95 ron or higher. It says I can run it on 91 in an emergency but I should avoid heavy loads.

That must have been brutal. By the end of my 45 or so hours awake I couldnt think properly or anything.

Its not good practice to mix oils but its not going to break your engine anytime soon. I think a bit of mixed oil is much better for your engine then a low level of unmixed oil. Just change it when you get the chance.

I'm not sure if this counts but when I was going to taiwan on bussiness I had to fly via hong kong and even after having 8 of so bottles of beer on the plane I couldnt sleep. By the time I had arrived at the hotel I had been up for 36 hours. I then went straight to the office. By the time I had gotten back to the hotel and ready for bed it had been about 45-46 hours since I left the house. I know its not strictly a single working day but it was all on bussiness.

I just stuck a few layers of black eletrical tape on the boot rubbers. Did the trick for me.
