  1. I expect the veyron has a wastegate/s which could handle the loss of backpressure so maybe it wouldnt make any more power without raising the boost.
  2. I don’t know if anyone remembers my "I've been made redundant" thread but I am pleased to announce I have a new job I start on the 15th and its ALOT more money then I was on, the only downside is my commute has grown from 1 mile to 24. I am going to be looking for a oil burner to get me there and back. So far I think something like an Audi a4 tdi could be a good choice. Any other ideas or suggestions?
  3. As the title says with my boost controller off I can reach 0.9 bar on the first turbo. This is for example when i use manual mode and floor it from a low speed to keep the revs low. When it reaches the second turbo boost is only a meager 0.76 bar. If I set the controller to 13% duty which is barely doing anything I can get boost cut on the first turbo and still only about 0.82 bar on the second turbo. To get it anywhere near 1 bar on the 2nd turbo I have to put it to 25-30% duty. Its almost as if I need two different duty settings. Any ideas? The hoses and connections all look ok. The hoses for the soleniod are fairly long at about 18".
  4. Thanks I've started to notice alot more supras around. I saw a white one in horsham parked up near the park. Also see a red one about in Crowborough/T.Wells
  5. I'll take some photos tommorow when it's light.

I quite like the rear bumper but it's a bit pricey for what it is...
  7. you have to connect the solenoid to both turbos with a T piece. I just found this out when getting mine sorted today.

    UK spec

rear fog lights as standard. different air flow meter. some jspecs also have big brakes as it was an optional upgrade there. clock has an "out side temp" function. all uk specs have active spoliers. all uk specs have LSD. there were no NA or aerotop uk cars. proberly more.

    Overboosting..

Solved the problem. It was only plumbed in to turbo one. May also have been a leak. Now its in to both turbos the boost is alot more reasonable and when it hits 1bar for a couple of seconds I get the fuel cut. No warning light, just a sudden loss of power. I currently have both cats in. I am surprised by how much quicker the boost raises, especially with only light throttle. I really dont have to try very hard and it is up to 1 bar in moments. With the controller off I get 0.75 on turbo 1 and a little bit more about 0.82 on turbo 2.
  10. Fitted an aem tru boost with the intention of basicly using it as a boost gauge and maybe upping the boost to 1 bar if needed. The car gets to about 0.75 bar on turbo 1 but when the 2nd comes in all hell lets loose. within half a second and on half throttle it reaches 1.3 bar... no boost cut or anything. Needless to say im driving it off boost at the moment. Shouldnt the stock computer be hitting boost cut at this level? Adjusting settings on the controller doesnt seem to change anything. The solenoid will buzz away as soon as there is positive boost. Any ideas?

    Mr2 gt

They are light, arent they a shade under 1300kg? If its 1300kg and 240 hp thats 184hp per ton.

    Mr2 gt

Hmm I had a ride in a friends MR2 turbo and it had a fair load of mods. The supra TT felt quite a bit quicker and mine is standard. Maybe his wasnt running very well.
  13. It's just crazy when no one quite knows what is the correct thing to say. I think disabled or handicapped is about the least offesnive name I can find to describe someone but even those are considered offensive to some. Maybe differently abled? That way there are no negative implications?
  14. Mentally handicapped is what I would have used but just wanted to check that was the current PC term. I've always been fond of the term "X-Men" but others dont seeem to share my opinion.
  15. For a mentally handicapped person? I know you aren't suppost to say disabled as it imlies they arent able... anyone know the right phrase/word?

    PAS Pump

I have one on order from nic for £220. The bearing on mine is starting to be a bit noisy. Works OK at the moment though. Edit: I think toyota wanted silly money.. 380 or 480 or something.
  17. I had somone in a punto do this. I had no where to go and they ended up hitting my wing mirror before they realised. I was on the horn as soon as they started to drift towards me. This is an uprated 136dB horn and it didnt make a difference. All you can do is stay aware and try to avoid being along side people.
  18. Building a PC is quite easy. It's knowing which components to use and making sure not to damage them thats hard. Might just be easier to find a custom/blue print PC builder and spec a machine for them to make. That way you could get a decent warrenty too.

    I feel so bad.

Some times when you're really upset you want to be alone. Maybe she is outside to get some peace. If thats the case you did the right thing leaving her be.
  20. Does anyone know the stance the police take on oral sex while driving?
  21. Piranhas always seem to have split fins and scars. I used to have 6 of them in an aquarium a few years ago. Very nice active fish and a good talking point. They arent very pretty though.

    bargin ? (TT)

Anyone who ownes a supra is likely to have floored it a few times. These arent the kind of cars you buy to get to the post office and back.
  23. Just been reading a review here: http://www.reviewcentre.com/review177569.html This paragraph is included in the review: The main Achilles heel of the Japanese spec car is the traction control system, which, unlike the UK spec car, isn’t a true traction control system but an Electronic Throttle Control System. The system monitors the wheels for slippage, but as opposed to applying a brake to the spinning wheel (as per the UK spec traction control system) electronically backs off the throttle until it’s happy that the wheels aren’t spinning anymore. In most cases the system works well, but can lead to embarrassing situations when trying to pull out of a side turning into traffic in slippery conditions. The system detects wheel spin, backs off the throttle, and you sit there with your foot flat on the floor going nowhere with cars approaching you from both directions!!!
