  1. That sucks, this guys had it rough!
  2. How'd you get on at austec any improvements?
  3. Well I'm going to swap them out today they will be ideal for mapping with. Now should I re-gap them or let my mapper do that?
  4. I just pulled one to check and its showing signs of carbon fouling I have iridium bkr5eix 11 can you post the part number pls bud
  5. I don't know mate Im gullible if you told me a chocolate fire place was a good idea I'd buy one! The pipe gets hot, not as hot as the air intake pipe so the intercooler is doing its job but I just though the cooler the better?
  6. BALLS!!!! just bought some NGK and I already have iridium's fitted!
  7. copied this from a pm off FOSTA, also fly did a superb job finding how to run the support tool on a windows 7 laptop. Once you have installed your emanage plug in your cable from emanage to laptop, then click on the little blue car symbol. This will bring up the " Parameter Settings". Click on -VEHICLE then select -2JZ-GE. This will then input all your engines sensor types for you. Then click on -FRONT PANEL and then -OPTION 1 and select - GREDDY PRESSURE SENSOR. ( this is for the 3bar map sensor that you should of installed). Leave all maps empty and DON'T select anything else. And now we have out base map! You can only cruise with this - STAY IN -NEGITIVE PRESSURE/ NO BOOST and you can drive it all day long.
  8. your a legend, i may take you up on that offer if you don't mind. will see how it goes first. i need to clock up a few miles anyway to find out if my firewall insulation is smoking or its my heat wrap, the dp is touching unfortunately
  9. i need a slap just had a thought!! the misfire may have something to do with the ecu resetting itself.. mapping day is the 8th july :D:D:D im not that excited...
  10. I had no choice, my fmic was in the way, where's yours fitted? i still haven't fitted my oil cooler but my oil temps seem ok. as for my misfire im thinking maybe ignitor or ignition coil too, would be nice to have spares to try on mapping day but first thing is order some new plugs,
  11. lol yeah i wouldn't chance it, i only got a cheap one off ebay it will do the job for now! what plugs are you using, iv got a misfire when i press the loud pedal briefly to the floor, i don't go over 3000 rpm!!
  12. should be fine as long as you get a turbo blanket: im thinking of wrapping the pipes with this stuff to keep temps down? http://www.thermalvelocity.co.uk/Heat-Shield-Tape/Magmashield-Tape/p-150-453/
  13. how'd these work out for you.. did you need to re-gap them?
  14. its a tight fit but don't we all like it tight i did some final tweaks but you get the idea..
  15. awesome mate I'm so happy for you!! Time to enjoy it now! Well done
  16. after a lot of thought and research I have decided to go with tuning developments, they specialise in Japanese performance vehicles and can carry out anything from oil changes / fault finding right through to full race preparation with forged engine rebuilds, turbo kits and ecu remapping. i am booked in for the 8th July and they have asked if they can have the car for 2days so they can iron out any niggles... Not sure if that should be ringing alarm bells or if its a good thing? Iv never had a car mapped before? Now I chose these guys because i have the e-manage ultimate installed and they have mapped a lot of EMU and EMB's only time will tell, I will keep you all posted!
  17. I can't justify doing a 500mile round trip to austec especially with my heavily pregnant gf if I missed that I would need to change my username to noballs!!
  18. Cheers pal shame I'm using EMU
  19. If I put it in the intercooler pipe, before the TB so its seeing the cooler temps will the pressure blow it out??
  20. be interesting to see how your keeping it secured..? EDIT: Oh I just realised I have an old stock air box I could use the rubber grommet out of?
  21. Found this on google images, Not pretty but thought this should work?
  22. Where's the best place to put our intake air temp sensor? Also do I need to weld on a port on the intake pipe for the vacuum hose that I think goes to the power steering? Or can I blank it off?
  23. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?291258-Recommended-NA-t-Tuners Posted this up in here hoping it will get more notice..? If all running na-t's could share who mapped your car this would be a massive help to up coming builds.
