  1. Check the colour chooser. Pull-down menu at bottom-left of this page. Video drivers
  2. Looks like someone else saw it too: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=282507&f=23&h=0 It's *got* to be the same one!
  3. I thought pink was the fastest colour
  4. No, I'm in Cottenham. I've seen the one that lives in Waterbeach too. Is yours the red one or the silver one?
  5. Just nipped to Tesco's to get some shopping and saw this when I came back to my car! http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/tescos.jpg I wasn't even sure which one was mine So hello to Owen and Mich who left a card on my windscreen. I would have waited around but had frozen food.

    Towing eyes

and if all else fails, you can hook the tow-rope around the yellow straps
  7. Don't have any but I'll take one tomorrow morning and post it up. The engine is a CA18DET by the way.
  8. It's time for me to sell my lovely Nissan 200sx S13. I bought this a couple of years ago from Aerotop Dave, who was one of the moderators on this forum. 1991 Nissan 200SX S13 Black 75,000 miles Tein Super Street Dampers (adjustable height and 16-level compression/rebound) 6-point roll-cage with approved padding Ferrodo brake pads Laserline Cat 1 Thatcham Alarm No engine modifications Clarion headunit 15" five-spoke ASA alloys Rear seats and carpets out, but supplied with car (In very good condition if they need to be put back) Standard dampers/springs will also be supplied with car Extra set of alloys 6 extra tyres 8 years detailed service history This car handles unbelievably well with the Tein suspension. It's very firm and you can dial in understeer/oversteer by adjusting the screw on top of the suspension (10 second job!). I added the rollcage as I planned on doing a lot of trackdays and drifting days, but never really got around to many. I've done two drift days and that's it. The car has only one fault - the turbo is very slowly on the way out and makes a vibrating noise when spooling up. There's no black smoke and it hasn't got any worse in the last 1000 miles. It doesn't seem down on power either. Please have a look at this page for more photos and info about the car and my contact details: http://www.13amp.org/200sx Price: £1500 ono. I'll be advertising this nationally in the next couple of days, but thought I'd try here first as it would be cool if it went to another club member. http://www.13amp.org/200sx/200sx.jpg
  9. Sounds like the speed limiter. I think it's meant to activate at around 112mph, which roughly matches your description as the speedo will over-read by a few mph.
  10. Thanks all. Wheels are Super Speed Star something or other. They were on the car when I bought it. It's the standard 3L2 red as far as I'm aware. I've seen other Supras that seem lighter than mine, but I'm sure everyone says that Mind you, the door handles are a bit that-colour-that-i'm-not-allowed-to-mention!
  11. I've just realised I bought my Supra 4 years ago today! Seems to have gone so quickly. In four years, it's only let me down twice - once when the immobiliser failed, and once when the starter motor died. It's been a totally awesome car and even though I've bought an Elise now, I can't bring myself to sell the Supra. I'm going to keep it at least a year longer Highlights: - following a big sports bike in the twisties and keeping up easily - racing an AM Vanquish and nearly keeping up - driving the Cat & Fiddle (A537) - setting off car alarms with my exhaust (sorry!) - tons of drifts out of side roads http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/supra_side.jpg
  12. I chose Option 3 - Watch Neighbours
  13. Don't know if the supra does this, but my guess is the idle air valve stepper motor is zeroing itself (moving to fully closed position) on key off. Put your ear up against it when you're expecting the noise
  14. Just wait a bit and try later this evening. Sometimes messenger does that!
  15. It would also be good for someone who didn't own a Mark 4 Golf or Supra, but whose name was Mr. Kiv
  16. I prefer the old purple colour, but the new colour shows the lines of the car better as it's lighter. It looks like a very professional job
  17. I disagree. The exhaust on my Elise (admittedly not standard) sounds a lot better than the Nur Spec R. It's not as deep but it's a lot more tuneful. At high revs it shatters your eardrums and sounds fantastic!
  18. I use a clay bar and it really smoothes the paintwork. There's a good guide on car cleaning here: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158378
  19. Aston Martin flies further than the Wright Brothers! video http://www.autoblog.com/media/2006/05/Picture313.jpg http://www.autoblog.com/media/2006/05/Picture314.jpg http://www.autoblog.com/media/2006/05/Picture315.jpg http://www.autoblog.com/media/2006/05/Picture316.jpg
  20. This is the one you want: http://www.seloc.org/ A lot of the owners on there have had Honda or Audi engine replacements.
  21. Thanks all. I just ordered a set from fancyplates. You can specify a custom size - I just wasn't looking hard enough the first time around
  22. It needs to have little letters as well!
  23. Any ideas where can I get a number plate made in the exact size I specify? I got one ages ago from GT Grafix but they don't seem to allow custom sizes anymore.
  24. Me too. I went out in his Skyline a couple of times on a drift day and he was pretty impressive!
