  1. lol nah, as it happens I have a set of 4 in good condition that I'm keeping
  2. Mildly amusing but I don't think they are really "viral". That would be more like the Ford Sport Ka ad where the sunroof chops the cats head off
  3. Is it really worth bothering for a tiny light? The Drive light went on mine as well, and after about a year it started working again! I think it's a common problem. Come to think of it, you'll probably find it's not actually the bulb at fault.
  4. Jamie, have you got a decent garage? I think window tinters usually have a fairly clean environment to do their work, so you don't get dust, dirt and flies stuck in your window!

    FAO: DaveMassie

Very disappointing. Looks like Dave Massie has totally conned you. Those trainers could never be described as anywhere near "immaculate", and the pictures he posted in the original advert are of a brand new pair!
  6. I love my supra too. Had it 4 years now and I never tire of the power, the grip and the effortless speed It never goes wrong and I can always rely on it. But somehow, it's just too good. I've had my elise a couple of months now. In contrast, it's broken down already. It misfires when it rains, it leaks, it squeaks and lots of bits have fallen off it. But it has character. Something that the supra totally misses. There's no doubt the supra is the better car, but if I had to get rid of one it wouldn't be the elise! (runs for cover...)

  8. Maybe it's getting cheaper! I paid about 350 quid for my Celica 5-6 years ago. And 260 quid for my Supra about 3 years ago. How dark will the front side windows be, if they are to remain legal? From what I gather, you can't do much with the current legislation.
  9. Maybe you won the "most absent supra" prize?
  10. OMG! you're right! I'll have to start writing letters to my local MP and spend a lot longer in the post office. I knew I should have put (retired) after my name
  11. Damn Supra doesn't deserve it after injuring me
  12. I posted a photo of the lightning storm here yesterday, and this morning I sent it to Look East (the regional news in Cambridgeshire) for a laugh. Anyway, was watching the weather forecast earlier and they showed my photo This stroke of genius was completely negated, however, when I got into my Supra shortly afterwards, banged my head on the door and sliced my ear open. I decided to turn round and come back home when i checked out the stream of blood in the rear-view mirror http://www.13amp.org/misc/lookeast.jpg
  13. We should start a new thread to celebrate and congratulate everyone who's Supra passes the MOT... 1. MarkTheBoy
  14. Nikon D50 on a tripod, 6 sec exposure
  15. Cool photo. We've had heavy rain containing big chunky hailstones for about an hour. I took this one earlier: http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/lightning.jpg
  16. I've got a D50, and it says -E- when there's no memory card in.
  17. Nah, the fuelling required at any given time is a function of engine speed and load (and other sensors). Your "driving style" isn't a factor. Perhaps some car ECUs do change their behaviour based on this, but I doubt the Supra does. I think some fly-by-wire systems provide different throttle response, but this is more likely to be control by a button (like a "sport" mode), than looking at the way you are driving.

    Time Zones

You're getting your hair cut in a different time zone? That's impressively vain
  19. Some more of us in Cambridge here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=73040
  20. If I were you, I'd go back there and see what markings you did park on. If it was just a single yellow, you'd be okay (I think) as it was after 6pm. It's clear from the photo you weren't parked on the zig-zag as you can see where it ends on the other side.
  21. That has certainly been my experience with Sky. They give rubbish renewal quotes (as does every insurer!), but they will match or beat the competition when asked. I saved about 100 quid on the Supra this time round by getting them to beat Adrian Flux's quote. And I did the same thing the month before when I bought my Elise. Phoned Sky first and got a reasonable quote. Phoned Adrian Flux and got a quote 150 quid cheaper. Then phoned Sky back and asked them to match it, which they did.
