  1. I filled mine up from the ATF dipstick after removing about 2.5l from the sump. worked fine for me and very easy with a cheap funnel I bought from halfrauds.
  2. Yeah I suppose, it passed it's MOT the other week so if it was nackered I suppose it would have failed. I thought about changing it as my mate has mentioned that when I accelerate hard I get a small puff of black smoke which I figured meens it is running slightly rich, or is this normal
  3. Thanks nic, always there to help out as usual could you PM me a price for one just so I know what Im looking at paying? I have a list of things I want to sort out on the car and it's getting expensive oh, while I remember, could I get a price for a new ash tray and auto surround also if it's not too much bother thanks again
  4. Mine is ok at the mo anyway but I thought it's probably best to change it as I dont have a clue how old it is or how well it is still working. Someone will make the sensor for toyota wont they? so I figured a universal sensor will be cheaper and just as good, or maybe im just wrong
  5. Hi guy's I was searching fleabay and came across this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BN-Universal-4-Wire-Zirconia-Oxygen-Lambda-Sensor_W0QQitemZ120280949742QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item120280949742 has anyone used a universal lambda sensor or used this perticular one? Will it fit and work in a TT? there are dimensions on the second pic of his add. Seems a good price seen as a genuine toyota sensor is likely to be 4times the cost and the only difference will probably be a connector plug. Thanks for any help
  6. Could I get the driver side front window glass please mine is covered in scratches. I may be able to pick up as Im going upto balfron (near Loch Lomand) and Im sure I pass strathclyde up the motoway coming from Carlisle
  7. Thank's for the info but I cant lower the car anything at all I have just bought my first house and the drive is at quite an incline and the bumper just touches the drive on initial incline and just coming off, not too bad but I couldnt even lower it 10mm without changing the bumper. Iv also read that the supra ride height is spot on for handling perposes anyway and I still want it to be comfortable but firm if that makes sense. I think new stock billsteins and stock springs will do the trick nicely but if anyone has any suggestions feel free to tell Thanks for the help guy's
  8. Ooooo, very nice car, tastefull body kit and colour too, I like
  9. I am in need of the clips that attatch the handle in the inside of the car (passanger side) commonly refered to as the 'jesus christ handle' or the 'oh sh*t handle' I dont know how else to explain it. Anyway my dad with his bulk grabbed it to pull himself out the car and the bottom clip broke the handle is now dangling about all the time doing my head in so if anyone has the clips or knows where I could get some I would be very greatfull
  10. lol, yeah a big glass panel isnt the easiest thing to post and you live far to far away to collect. How much would you want for 1 of them?
  11. I have to agree with you Nick. I know that if you buy cheap it's normally rubbish especially off ebay. I just thought I would ask as if they were D2's I seem to remember hearing/reading that they are a decent bit of kit. However, I will take your word for it that the spring rates are on the firm side as I have no idea what I'm looking at Are the billstein shocks firmer than the black shocks (KYB I beleive as standard) I have at the momenet? whats the difference? I know Toyota fitted them as standard on later models but did they also change the spring's? or will the springs I have on my 93 be fine to use. Sorry for all the questions I just want to get it right first time round. Oh and the shocks look like a very good price indeed Nick
  12. Hi guy's, I was just wondering if these are D2 coilovers. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sports-Adjustable-Coilovers-TOYOTA-SUPRA-JZA80-93_W0QQitemZ160254570138QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item160254570138&_trkparms=72%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 They look like them and the seller advertises D2 brakes but it doesnt say what the coilovers are. (I will ask him before anyone tells me to do that) but also I was wondering if any of you guy's have had experiance with these (if they are D2's) if so, what are they like compared to standard (black) springs and shocks? How long will/do they last? I am asking because my car has just passed it's MOT today but the tester told me that there is a mist of oil above the front passanger shock, suggesting that it is leaking slightly so I need to arrange a replacement set some time in the near future. The only sets I have thought about are the D2 coilovers or replacing them with the standard billy's and springs. I would love to have the CW treatment but cant afford that just now. I would like something that is comfortable'ish and near stock height. I dont want to be breaking my back and biting my tongue with rock hard suspension everytime I drive, lol.Anyway, what are your oppinions?
  13. Hi guy's, Im after a driver side front window if anyone has one without marks or scratches from a breaker etc. Mine has quite a few deep scratches on the outside, seen a few like this for some reason dont know what its from, maybe just need to clean the rubbers. Anyway, any help appriciated.
  14. Get yourself to tesco asap. I just bought a black 42" LG LCD 1080p with built in freeview for £650, they also do a 37" version for £570 and the picture is good, especially in HD. I beleive they are selling them off for some reason. I beleive the guy in store told be that they are expecting LG's new line up with built in hard drives or something. Anyway good TV for little money.
  15. That would almost be my perfect body kit combo. I would have trial rear, top secret front, OEM skirts but a TRD spoiler mmmmm.
  16. I like the look of that Might look nice with the 'Twin' in black or silver to give it that OEMish look
  17. Well mines not an aerotop but it is a GZ and I wouldnt let mine go for anywhere near 5k Im affraid, I paid just over 10K for it 2 years ago and have spend a good 3-4k since, I would consider 8K a good price and I would rather keep it in the garage doing nothing than give it away. Must agree with what you say aswel, when I look on autotrader now and then there does seem to be some bargains but the average price for an average TT still seems to be 7-8k it seems only on here that prices take a good hammering.
  18. That Might have been the one anyway he was sure toyota didnt make the engine so it was probably yamaha. Something I didnt know anyway.
  19. I like the RSP, lovely colour and you dont see many.
  20. I heard that the engine was made by suzuki off a machanic that recently changed my timing belt (dont know how true this is)
  21. Bought - July 2006 Year - 1993 L reg Model - GZ TT (auto) Condition - Excellent (imported as grade 4 by vine place) Miles when bought - 45k Colour - Silver Mods when bought - Top secret front, TRD rear spoiler. Price - £10,049
  22. I had problems with a dicky Fuel cut defender making the idle rough, like yours it was fine when the auto choke kept revs up but when they died down it was rough. If you have a fuel cut defender it may be worth removing it and seeing if it solves the problem.
  23. Very nice Jurgen, could you be a gent and PM me a price please. Iv been debating about trading in and getting a facelift single 6sp and this does look nice. Im moving house at the mo and it would be good to know what these type of cars go for so I can see how far off I am after I have moved. Thanks.
