  1. Cheap and TH400 conversion don't go together. Not a simple swap and you'd want the overdrive version of the TH400 and supra conversion kit. I believe Sound Performance sell them but you would be talking north of £10k for this all told I reckon
  2. No, its not the same as far as I am aware . At the very least you need an A340 e (aka tt auto box) and I would get David P to do the line pressure upgrade mod. Add a couple of tranny coolers and you will be good to go at that hp.
  3. So true ! Only just got mine running sweetly after about 2.5 years, a shed load of money and multiple hours of endless labour!
  4. Am I correct thinking NA and TT rack is the same?
  5. . Yeah, just make sure its centered under the diff casing. I have jacked from here loads of times and you have nothing to worry about as long as you are under the diff casing.
  6. Diffs a solid point to jack from. was probably the wood crunching

    Autotrader

£15k would only buy a real ratter TT6 nowadays. I recall a barn find on ebay that wasnt far off that money.
  8. As far as I am aware the GE and GTE racks are the same, according to what I was told anyway..
  9. Anyone got one knocking about? And harness for Supra Jspec auto would be a bonus! Please pm me if so.

    The New Porsche

That looks awesome! What is it exactly lol
  11. Is it a copy? any pics of the logo inside it if not? whats fitment like?
  12. Anyone got one? or know where I can get? Cheers
  13. Doesn't have to be SRD coolers. They are a common design. I've got 3 trans fluid coolers on my setup and a Motec thermostat to ensure the box reaches operating temperature. I have no experience with the SRD box (yet) but the Titan one is excellent in my experience.
  14. Christ. More filler than metal on that bodywork!
  15. Manual conversion and use any ECU you like. That's my plan!!

    Gearbox removal

But personally, I wouldn't attempt it on axle stands again. I ended up taking the whole lot (engine and box) out the next time I needed to (and didn't have a lift). Was a load easier and safer lol

    Gearbox removal

I had to slacken engine mount bolts and any hard restrictions to let the engine tilt up a bit last time I took a box off, was an auto though. Good luck alone and on axle stands. That's mans work!!
  18. Interesting info mate thanks . Any info on the CD009 conversions? sounds by far the better option but looks a PITA to do.
  19. New ECU time! Or if you can compare with a known good VVTi stock ECU
  20. Cheers will look into it
  21. Cant see how you can test a torque converter without stripping it down to inspect. It lives its life rotating with the engine and is full of hydraulic fluid. Recreating those conditions would take a proper test rig IMO
  22. Thanks, what else is required for this conversion? Has anyone got details of a good kit? I like the 2nd gen cd009 (I think it is) Nissan 350z tranny, they are meant to be very stout, but it requires cutting the tranny bellhousing it and welding it to a supra one iirc, not interested in doing that!
